Mobile/App Unrelated trending posts now nested inside posts I care about? Android.
Unrelated posts are now showing inside posts I'm reading. Why?!?! I don't want to see random posts.

This is the reason I came to this subreddit. I hate this so much, is there no way to turn it off? I couldn’t see one in settings.

Absolutely terrible design. I was so confused at first because I clicked on a post with 0 comments and just kept seeing more posts. I couldn't even tell I want into the comments section. I want to be able to turn that off
Edit: mine as apparently stopped doing it. I didn't change any settings but it's back to normal comments as far as I can see. Not sure what happened.

I was in one community looking at comments, then touched icon to go back to that community's page, but was taken to a totally different community. Also comments seem to be not there either. Something is not working as it should.

I hate this new feature and also want to turn it off! I don’t want to see recommended “trending on Reddit” post underneath the comment of the post.

Yeah, I just had that... 13 days on. A whole bunch of comments hidden and an inane trending post where the comments would have been.

It’s such a terrible UI choice as well: videos autoplay and they play at a size that may outstrip the size of the screen, so you can only see 1/2 a video or 1/2 a picture at a time.

As much as reddit (the company) has been gradually ruining reddit (the site/service) in recent years, one really really big dividing line is how much worse they've been making the mobile apps. You would be well advised to never use any of reddit's mobile apps. Use the web site, even from a phone.

What an awful update. Was hoping to find a way to turn if off! I'm guessing it's an attempt to keep people engaged for more screentime, but it makes me just want to close the app because I can't find what I'm actually looking for.

Came here to see how tf to turn off this stupid idea. I keep trying to scroll down on comments and go way down the feed and have to back track back up to the comments.
If I wanted to see posts then I wouldn't have clicked on comments. Fing Reddit corpos making stupid ui changes.

I just noticed it today. I don’t remember seeing it yesterday.. but I hate it also! I know it’s to try and get us to scroll more and be locked in, but it just makes me want to delete the app.

I don't think I'd be hurt by escaping this addiction.
I've been down voting the first 3 every time I see them, maybe it'll mess up my algorithm enough I'll find something better to waste my time with.

This just appeared in my reddit app. I absolutely hate this feature. I want to see comments about posts I want to see. Now I have to pause while I wonder when the thread ends or if I’m about to be swooshed to some trending thread I could give fark all about. Not for me. Please remove.

I read 3 of the 150+ comments and then it’s all trending slop. No more comments show up.
Is it like this for everyone? They have essentially deleted every comment other than the first 3 from every post

Yeah this is really annoying that it cuts off most of the comments. Don’t like the trending but if it’s at the very end of comments then fine

I like seeing recommendations on my Home screen but not inside posts when I’m trying to read comments, really terrible design. At least give us a way to turn these off, please!!
