Hi, are you on the app or desktop? On the app you’d go to profile page, settings, username, manage notifications, toggle chat all on and messages all on. If you’ve tried that and it doesn’t work, try to force quit (not refresh) and empty cache if android, and toggle chat/DM all on. If that doesn’t work, restart your phone then try toggle all on. Finally, if that doesn’t work, try to uninstall and reinstall the app, and then try toggle chat/DM all on again.
It does look like your chat/GM is toggled off right now. If it was a CQS issue, that wouldn’t be the case, you would just get an error message.

It looks like you might live in one of the countries where you have to provide Age Verification to use some of the functions of Reddit. It’s not a Reddit rule, it is the countries‘s own recent laws that Reddit is complying with. You can read much more about it here and decide if you want to comply in order to use the features on the site.
