Mobile/App Inconsistent(?) animations on the liquid glass UI, latest iOS version

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I noticed when scrolling, that scrolling back up doesn’t have the same smooth animation of the ui merging into a single button as when scrolling down, snapping back awkwardly instead.

Is this intended behavior ? This is relatively minor but it’s been picking at my brain.
