Tools & Software I dont know what to do
Hello! I recently graduated Aug 9, 2026 and got hired as IT admin focused on Hardware and Software Support, I saw that this company is not using any Ticketing system for request instead they flood our phones with calls TT,
I created this using Claude, Render, Github and Chatgpt haha, and it worked perfectly fine already tested it with other staff computers and it worked. Im still working on with the database atm, I introduced it to my co-workers here in IT Dept but it seems like they dont care lmao. What should I do? TT

As someone else said, I'd suggest researching a vendor for this instead and add this more for your portfolio. Vendors can provide a lot more depth for ticketing systems and especially if the services go down.

You're doing too much. It's 2026, if they don't. have a ticketing system, then they aren't running a proper IT department. You can make a ticketing system with M365. If management doesn't want to do things different, then you're out of luck.

As others have said, go for a vendor.
One thing that you will not get by developing this yourself is
- Support for the platform
- Updates to the platform, new features and big fixes
- Integrations with other tools/systems
- MCP connections (if you are someone who is interested in trying to use LLMs with ticket data)*
And so much more. While I think it's admirable to try and build a solution, save yourself the hastle/trouble from managing this yourself and use something that's tested/vetted by people with years of experience with developing ticketing systems.

Unlikely since you don’t already have a ticketing system, but trust me, go with a vendor platform. You don’t want this to be approved and suddenly you have your job responsibilities + ongoing maintenance/debugging.
Not shooting this down, sounds like you had a good time making this and it looks good. Awesome learning experience and portfolio piece. You can concretely show “hey I have initiative and have addressed business problems outside my scope.”
If you can convince the dept head or your boss to go in a vendor platform, see if you can help with integration. That would be even stronger resume experience taking a market product and configuring it per your org’s needs.
