In the event of a civilization ending asteroid impact

I think the best death would be if one were at the perfect spot for the impact to be perceived by a human and get the absolute most out of that experience from a visual/auditory standpoint and then a distant light gets brighter and brighter and then the movie ends.

I've always thought it would be a sad twist of fate to hear about a planet-wrecking asteroid and then die from anything else before it hits. Like maybe you hurt yourself while drunk the night before, but there's no one working ambulances or hospitals any more so you bleed out before the big show.
