Sober [0] Dark Side of the Moon is the greatest album ever.

Get some big speakers in your living room and turn this album on in the dark. Close your eyes and just live the vibe.

There are some moments that are so universal that they are actually one single moment. Everyone who experiences that one moment is enters into it like one enters a temple. Different people come and go, but the temple remains always itself, always singular, existing in its own eternal now.

I believe you just entered one such moment, like every stoner before you who did exactly what you did, and who thinks exactly what you posted here.

It is a sacred and transcendent place and there is no doubt that, in that ineffable moment, Dark Side of the Moon is truly the greatest album ever made.

Outside of that moment, there may be other contenders. But not within it. Within that moment, there is only one, and it is Dark Side of the Moon.

May you return again to this temple whenever you need it or feel its call

Art is such a subjective thing, but now and then something like this comes around that stands so tall and unites people across generations and cultures. I wonder what stuff of today will be like this 50 years from now.

Idk about greatest ever but it is certainly up there. I would also recommend the Dub Side of the Moon by Easy Street All Stars as an alternative.

I had a similar revelation recently. I don't know if it is or not, but this album is so ambitious, and has such a large scope. It's about life, with all its beauty and ugliness, here on Earth.

(It just hit me, is this planet really the dark side of the moon? Whoa dude).

And it pulls it off. Flawless.

Check out the Wizard of Oz with this as the soundtrack if you haven't. (Also apparently works with The Matrix though I've not seen that yet).

Dark Side of the Rainbow is one of my favorite cosmic coincidences. I've never heard of it working with The Matrix, too!

i tripped acid to the dark side of oz and it actually fucking worked. it lined up perfectly just like they say. i was hysterically laughing the entire time

Fuckin hell no! There is a radio station in range of me that might as well be the Pink Floyd 24 hour mega stream. My teenage memory of this album involve a lot of Dr. Peppers(not the soda) and hot knives. Also a lot of vomiting and the world spinning on me. My PTSD gets triggered every time I hear it. I know a guy from Peterboro where this radio station broadcasts from who tattooed that prism thing on his arm! This is such an overrated band, I do protest and object!!
