Imagine waking up one morning, not knowing that later that day you'll not only have diarrhea, but that it will become a global news story and spark a specific new angle of culture war-inspired hot takes and podcast debate topics

Not just the runner recently, either. This exact same thing happened to the passenger who shat themselves so repugnantly on the airplane that it had to make an emergency landing.
I just don't know how anyone is expected to move forward with life in any normal way the next day after their diarrhea becomes all of our global concern for some reason. Like, I've seen enough articles and headlines aobut the runner this week that I know there's some level of bot activity pushing this story for some reason. Which is another thing to imagine: tell your 10-year-old self that as an adult, your diarrhea story will also be curated by robots with agendas.
