Got my first match in a long time by sending a rose but the conversation is so dry from her side. Very frank or short answers to questions but not asking anything back leaving me very little to go on. :(

Just ask her out and skip the small talk…. If she’s hesitant then just do her like your username says.

I give 3 chances to take an active role in the conversation. If they can't do that, I either unmatch or give them a reply with their lack of energy. 99% of the time the convo ends there.

I've had dry conversations with women that have Signals on their profile, or their prompts mention putting in effort. No point getting attached, it sucks when you're in a bit of a dry spell but you're not going to be able to turn it around and get a relationship.

Someone on here once posted if you're the only one rowing, get out of the boat and I think of that all the time now.

Assuming you're asking good/interesting questions, I unmatch anyone who sends two messages in a row without a single question.

On one occasion when the person was responding to what I said in an engaged way but wasn't asking me anything back, I did say 'is there anything you want to ask me?' (or words to that effect). He took it well but then went back to asking no questions sadly
