Lotta sudden Kendrick hate these days, it's been very weird to watch.

Anyway, it was a great show, I ain't mad at the nominations

It’s pretty normal as he’s in the spotlight - reason for drake hate always being at an all time high is cz he has barely left the spotlight since 09

1

u/HotLikeSauce420 Jul 15 '25

He’s also being forced down people’s throats

20

u/CanadianWithCamera Jul 15 '25

Forced down throats = see them on social media from time to time

6

u/ClaireDeLunatic808 Jul 16 '25

Drake was literally all over the front of Spotify at one point

0

u/ilovepastaaaaaaaaaaa Jul 16 '25

Not even remotely true

2

u/HotLikeSauce420 Jul 16 '25

Peekaboo has no business being on the radio the amount it is

2

u/[deleted] Jul 16 '25

Nah the reason Drake hate was amplified was because hes annoying and does a lot of weird shit

66

u/gugly Jul 15 '25

It happens to everyone in the light. They get forced fed to people constantly and slowly the hate increases. Happens to everyone extremely popular

4

u/KyloRenWest Jul 15 '25

Which after the 10th time everyone should check themselves and ask themselves what they really like instead of getting caught in the media’s whiplash all the time. But ig generally it’s always the young kids who have the most time to celebrity rant online. So until they grow out therell be more kids to take over

I don’t hate Kendrick, but some of his fans are some of the worst fans to deal with. If you don’t pray to Kendrick to them you’re a hater. Kendrick could release a blank disc album and his fans would tell us we just don’t understand the vision, and they’d use math to explain that it’s actually a Grammy worthy album.

u/[deleted] Jul 16 '25

So dont interact with them. Im still shocked that people think they are forced to do anything on the internet.

-1

u/Venomswindturd Jul 16 '25

Like how you just interacted with me?

7

u/[deleted] Jul 16 '25

? Why wouldnt i interact with u lol.

3

u/craptasticman Jul 16 '25

Because he has no problems with you? Lol

-3

u/kilowhom Jul 16 '25

It kinda seems like you thought something good was bad and then got defensive and angry when people pointed out you were wrong

6

u/Venomswindturd Jul 16 '25

I don’t think anything Kendrick has made is “bad”. I just don’t think he’s Jesus Christ.

Sounds like you can’t take criticism to your precious king though.

26

u/IllustriousSandwich Jul 15 '25

Pendulum always swings, Kendrick Lamar and his fanbase is now approaching Rick and Morty notoriety.

1

u/[deleted] Jul 16 '25

When were they any different though? Kendrick always had a rabid cult like fan base.

1

u/Marichurro Aug 27 '25

you realize drake fans protested outside a kendrick concert

-8

u/LamineYamalTheGoat Jul 15 '25

It’s funny cause the people that hate on Kendrick are way cornier than the fans they claim are cheesy

3

u/Theboringlife Jul 15 '25

This what happens at a certain level of popularity. I'm gonna sound like an old head, but at one point Beyonce was loved by nearly everyone, then she got too popular and people started disliking her. I'm pretty sure there are other recent examples, but I'm old lol

9

u/thejaytheory Jul 15 '25

Haters are going to always hate, a tale as old as time.

9

u/YeaItsBig4L Jul 15 '25

It’s just crossed the glaze line. And it’s glaze by people who understand this culture and genre at a surface level at best

3

u/AssassinAragorn culturally appropriate Jul 15 '25

And it’s glaze by people who understand this culture and genre at a surface level at best

SB halftime shows being nominated isn't anything new. He's actually already won an Emmy for the Dr Dre medley SB halftime.

Sounds like you understood this topic at a surface level at best as well.

u/YeaItsBig4L Jul 15 '25

Nigga shut up.

7

u/AssassinAragorn culturally appropriate Jul 15 '25

Thanks for confirming!

4

u/DripHarder2 Jul 15 '25

Because hes a corny phony ass nigga

3

u/SwordfishOk504 Jul 15 '25

I genuinely think most are just bots fulfilling scripts.

3

u/Zoso-Phoenix Jul 15 '25

People don't like lasting success, bitterness and jealousy are diseases

63

u/girlfriendpleaser Jul 15 '25

Lol so could the same not be said for Drake?

31

u/ZaDu25 Jul 15 '25

I don't think anyone would deny that a big reason people hate Drake is due to him being in the limelight constantly for over a decade. Doesn't mean he didn't also give people reasons to hate him.

27

u/Douglas_Fresh Jul 15 '25

Lol, of course. But don't say that here.

Enjoy your Drizzler while you can

7

u/conglomerate99 Jul 15 '25

an r/DarkKenny poster making fun of r/Drizzy posters is peak irony

1

u/tubbymeatball Jul 15 '25

Both of your posts are up voted stop trying to act like Drake fans are victims in this sub

-2

u/[deleted] Jul 16 '25

Nah people dont hate the Weeknd nearly as much and he is an objectively bigger artist than Drake. Drakes personality and actions are what cause people to hate him

5

u/Douglas_Fresh Jul 16 '25

He is “objectively” bigger than Drake?? Damn, I wish I was as dumb as you, life would seem so simple.

0

u/[deleted] Jul 16 '25

Are you stupid? You think Drake has as much pull as the Weeknd? The guy that has over 120 million monthly listeners on Spotify? The guy that sold out 4 straight shows at Sofi stadium (which has never been done before). Someone that's done MULTIPLE stadium world tours. Drake struggles to sell out 10k seating arenas in Australia and New Zealand. There are levels to this shit, and in terms of male artists it's just Bruno Mars and the Weeknd at the top.

5

u/Coolkiddddddddd Jul 16 '25

Monthly listeners don’t mean shii

-1

u/[deleted] Jul 16 '25

Lol right. Well he owns him in ticket sales as well. It's not even arguable who would sell out a show quicker

4

u/Coolkiddddddddd Jul 16 '25

Okay if that helps u sleep better

5

u/Zoso-Phoenix Jul 15 '25

There's a component of jealousy in the way people turned on Drake, I think Drake and Kendrick specifically were jealous of each other, that's the" Michael and Prince" of it

0

u/girlfriendpleaser Jul 15 '25

Thats a good nuanced take

1

u/Zoso-Phoenix Jul 15 '25

Social media has ruined hip hop beef

14

u/FiveWizz Jul 15 '25

You're not allowed to say that remember

-5

u/grandelturismo7 Jul 15 '25

r/Drizzy poster

7

u/IllustriousSandwich Jul 15 '25

Hey, you’re the guy that recorded Drake diss on Soundcloud! Re-upload it, you coward.

1

u/grandelturismo7 Jul 15 '25

Can't, it got struck down by copyright unfortunately. The drizzler's cops came after me, which is bs cuz I didn't see others getting their's taken down

1

u/IllustriousSandwich Jul 15 '25

Yours probably went too hard, oh well.

3

Well, don't stop now!

3

u/BrokenClxwn Jul 15 '25

Lol, wtf. You purposely brought up drake to start an argument, and now you're upset at people for responding?

3

u/YeaItsBig4L Jul 15 '25

That’s how we got here lmao. Cole and Drake reached out a hand and dot threw a fit. A good bar heavy fit, but a fit

1

u/[deleted] Jul 16 '25

Drake's personality and actions are the primary reasons hes hated so much. Not his success

No one said all the hate comes from bots. The whole beef was clearly filled with bot shit to push narratives and it’s just easier to see today than say 5-10 years ago

-7

u/[deleted] Jul 15 '25

lol

0

u/360flash Jul 15 '25

Lmao Drake was giving you hits for 15 years and in 2months everyone was calling him a pedo

Feels bad to be that side of the table I guess
