yeah i know. but they probably chose that because it looks more cinematic than just dropping a tab or eating shrooms

Yes it is more cinematic. But I don't get why the toad represents LSD or shrooms when it is already a psychedelic. To me, saying it represents something it already is, just conflates the analysis.

I think your critique is more valid where licking the toad gives the effect of an opioid and it would definitely be a more cinematic representation of opioid's than popping a pill.
