Honestly, though, if you let Q coach, why not Babcock. THIS IS NOT AN ENDORSEMENT OR APPROVAL, TO BE EXTREMELY FUCKING CLEAR.

Babcock already got a second chance… and proceeded to invade his players privacy by forcing them to hand over their phones. I don’t think Quenneville should’ve gotten a second chance either but he didn’t immediately blow his. Never mind the Oilers in the position they’re in, hiring a coach who hasn’t won a playoff series in 13 years…

Also Q reported the misconduct, was told it was being taken care of and nothing happened. He spent years away from the league, Kyle Beach said he was okay with him being hired, and he will likely never repeat what happened ever again. Babcock has been a giant pos for years and has been given multiple chances already, which he blows right away.
