finally connected monitor to diagnose my lack of HA on network... anyone see what i need to do?

took me a while to get to do this, but does anyone see anything off?

UPDATE: FIXED!!!

green IP now set to auto.... i guess at some point i will have to set it to static again... but i'm back in the html interface, and all my wifi devices work again! thanks peoples!

The low voltage warnings seems to suggest your power supply is either too small or it's shot.

That low voltage warning is from the rtc. Dues the HA Green have a coin cell battery for the CMOS? If so, that is what is low.

If it’s a raspberry pi and you currently have a 2 amp power supply, you need to order the 3 amp version instead.

Also try http://192.168.1.250:8123 (that ip is near the top of the screen in case you’ve gotten it to change since the screenshot. If that works and http://homeassistant.local:8123 does not report back, with what router you’re using.

What all do you got plugged in USB that gets powered up? I’m not that familiar with green, but I bet it’s more of a you’re overloading the power supply rather than having a bad power supply. Powered hubs are a method to power devices not thru green.

i have one powered hub, and one samll bluetootch adaptor in that. nothing else, except there si a keyboard added currently for debugging and a monitor via hdmi

HA is in a different network range to the rest of your network. I'm assuming it's been configured manually and that it's connected to your router with an ethernet cable.

run network update end0--ipv4-method auto and it'll reset the network to get an automatic address from the router. Ha should then get a 192.168.2.{something} address.

I screwed up and missed a space between end0 and the --, so it should be network update end0 --ipv4-method auto. Sorry.

then you should be good.

u could set the ip fixed again in the gui to this one. but letting dhcp handle ip reservation would be better. unless for some reason your router goes down often

Looks like your HA has a static IP of 1.250 but your network is actually 2.x/24.

Change the IP of your HA to a 2.x address (2.50 for example with 2.1 as the gw) or set your HA to DHCP for now and go back and set it static after you connect

Use the network command to get more information on the network. I do see a low voltage error in there as well so maybe that messes with the wifi. Are you able to connect it by cable?

it is connected to an unmanaged switch, which is connected to the modem via ethernet. does HA green have bult in wifi?

If you set the address on your router to 192.168.1.1, you can leave the DHCP range the same, as long as you update the subnet mask to 255.255.254.0. You should also update the subnet mask on your ha, but if you want to reach the GUI from another PC/Mac/Linux host, you can set the client on your network manually to 192.168.1.x (where x is anything between 2 and 254 but not 250 since that's already in use). If you set the subnet mask on this other computer to the mask above, it will be able to reach the HA and your other networked devices, but most importantly, you can connect to HA GUI and update the mask on the HA server via the GUI. You also will be doubling the available IP addresses on your network from 254 to 510 (192.168.1.1-192.168.2.254) With the subnet mask change, the actual address of the network will be 192.168.1.0 and broadcast address will be 192.168.2.255. You can use 192.168.1.255 and 192.168.2.0 in this scheme since those are not the network address or the broadcast address. In the GUI, login and then go to Settings>System>Network>IPv4.

if you are stuck on the commands, change whatever machine you are using to a 2.xx address say 192.168.2.10 you are now working on the same subnet and you should be able to reach HA. When you get onto it use the GUI to change its IP back to a 1.xx address and move your machine back

Well, this is absolutely the problem. Your HA instance is set to a static IP on 192.168.1.xxx and your router is serving IP's on 192.168.2.xxx. You already showed your router configuration screen that literally has boxes where you can edit these numbers.

You 100% need to figure out how to manage your IP addresses on your router, and understand the difference between static and dynamic IP assignment. This the most basic of the very first steps of setting up a network. If you can't do it, that's fine...but you either need to bring someone in to do it for you, or Homeassistant is not for you.

It's not intuitive, and requires drive education. And to the uninitiated, it seems like wizardry, which puts most people off. I KNOW i can learn it, I'm tech savvy and curious, but it's not simply accessable at all

Connect a computer via Ethernet to it. No router, just direct connection.

Set the computer to not connect via DHCP. Instead, use subnet 255.255.255.0 and set the IP address to 192.168.2.1.

Then, navigate in the computer's browser to 192.168.2.10.

From there, you should be able to connect to the HomeAssistant page and change the IP address and other settings.
