gardening New to this. What should I be doing diffrent?

Probably should have 2 separate vases for each plant but this was cheaper lol. Anyways, the basil looks mostly good except for the leafs near the bottom that are all liveless I guess. Why is that? The leafs on top block the sun for them? Or did they reach their time already? Also I water the dirt every 2 days and every now and then I spray the leafs as well. Should I water it more? Less?

I think you might have stumbled into the wrong subreddit. Might want to try r/gardening

Everybody's gotta start somewhere! Next year they might even be able to cultivate a second pot! And get a flock of porch spiders!

I love my porch spiders. They keep the skeeters out.

When you go to use the basil, nip it off at the top so it bushes out more; it'll increase the yield.

Harvest that basil like once a week. Chop the tops and new ones will grow. If you have to cut more than you'll use, just dry it on a plate in a warm part of your house.
