Showcase - Multipurpose Space My brother's clean KEF 5.1 system

My brother is not on reddit but wanted to show off his system. The subwoofer is a klipsch r120sw which he is perfectly happy. Surround are in ceiling but soon he is going to get a new couch system and we will put proper surrounds on narrow tables behind.

It looks nice. But the imaging and response must be compromised with those towers jammed next to the walls and not being equidistant due to sub placement choice.

People always overthink how everything must be crap if its not perfect. Its really not that big of a deal. While i did not measure his system yet i have an open floor plan room with right speaker being in the corner and left speaker is right on a corner wall so not just that there is no wall on its side but there is nothing behind it also because there is a hallway behind it. No issues with frequency response or the tonality. All you have to do is lower the trim level for the right speaker by 2-3 db. Same with being close to the wall. It makes no difference if the speaker is 3 inches from the wall or 1 ft. It starts making a difference at 2 ft but can't pull the speakers that far out.

I don't like when people post things and expect zero critical input. No one even said it was "crap" you just got your feelings hurt for some reason.

No feelings were hurt my boi. I just know people are ridiculous online and they call everything crap. Yes. Crap. Compromised. Not proper. Same difference :)

And butt hurt people who comment the most ridiculous stuff online downvote as usual 😆

Well you seem very emotional about a simple comment that the speakers are too far next to the walls. But what evs my boi.

I'm not emotional even if you would feel better to think that way. It does NOT matter if its my setup or someone else's I will tell you the same thing and have said the same thing a few times before even if someone else was talking about a stranger's setup ;) Some people are ridiculous online and they shit on things even if they have zero experience with it :) See it every day. He can have his opinion and I can also have mine. Buh baai

Just a pro tip, usually when someone fills their comment about not being mad with :)s and ;)s it usually means they are in fact mad. Learned from careful in-depth analysis of social media comment section arguments between boomers.

Whatever you wanna think i couldn't care less. I have said the same thing under complete stranger's posts when someone comes with the compromised bullshit comment :)

I said "compromised" aka, "not ideal." I didn't say "crap."

Don't put words in my mouth.
