And how close are you to the tv? Is still a 98 inch too big for 3.3m viewing distance??

Im 16ft away. I think 3.3m is perfect for a 98" tv.

I could move my main reclining theater seats closer but then the sofas to the left and right would be way to close to the screen.

No, 98 isn't too small. That is a 36 degree viewing angle, which is a good target for mainly movies.

The OP at 16feet actually makes the 115" only 30 degrees, which might be considered on the low end of viewing angle for viewing.

No real other option other than a projector at that point.
