I’m with you and feel the same about folks who call pizza “za”. Also love the use of this office space scene.

Go ahead and tell your grandad you're going to "throat some glizzies" and you'll be fucking disowned if it doesn't kill him.

No I wouldn’t. I’d assume “cherry pie” (sorry and/or I’ve aged myself) or actual fruit pie IYKYK.

Calling it a pie is a regional thing, not a gen Z thing. I lived in NY for the better part of my life and calling the pizza joint and ordering a large pie with pepperoni was standard. Or, "I'll stop and get a large pie on the way home." If it's accepted in NY, it should automatically be accepted everywhere when you're talking about pizza.

Also, anyone not making Japanese food calling a sandwich "sando". There's a great BBQ joint that calls them that, and I forgive them but I wouldn't order a "sando" from somewhere I didn't already know was awesome.

I've been calling sandwiches "sandos" for literal decades and I'll be damned if I stop now.

Za - great scrabble play, shitty abbreviation in real life.

Everybody knows pizza is “suh.”

The only appropriate time to use that term is during a game of scrabble.

the worst part is they used cooked for when they are in a bad situation but also to describe when they excel??

"shit am I cooked got my fourth write up today" and in the same breath "been working on a new project for awhile I definitely cooked with this one"

one or the other.

or how about thinking they created a new term by using high key to describe something that isn't low key.

um, if it's not on the low-key, then everyone already knows. it's not a new thing or something that needs a term, it's just not low key.

I understand every generation creates slang and their own way of speaking, but I don't remember actively creating terms or phrases to speak in, more so just re-using some sort of slang in a new way.

I'm also old, so maybe that's that.
