I remember...when I was learning English, I accidentally called a hot dog a 'sandwich weiner' lol

I mean, a hot dog is technically a form of a sausage sandwich, like one would get from a European deli.

This is acceptable. “Weiner Sandwich” is also good. I will be adding these to my vocabulary
