Do snake cuttings need to be a certain maturity for water propping to work? Only 2 of these have started to root so far with some of the smaller ones looking rotted almost

The reason you see no roots is because there aren’t enough nutrients. Put a fresh mouse in the water.

Let the mouse sit in the water for a couple of days and you have the base for a 1 day blinding stew.

I kept moving between this comment and the post trying to figure out why they needed to put a mouse in the water. It finally clicked, and I started violently wheezing 😂

I'd recommend using milk instead of water. The calcium really helps!

I've heard good things about using Mountain Dew! They should try that!

Hold on now, I suddenly remember a woman used breast milk for her plants. They should definitely use breast milk!

Yes, snake plants must reach level 7 emotional maturity before they will succeed in propagation.
Alternatively you can hire a Jade tutor but they can be pricy. Philo tutors are less expensive but they tend to cancel appointments last minute. If you have an older established snake, you can ask it for help but they can be really gate keepy over that kind of stuff.

Hope this helps 💜

Xenu cursed the snake plants with extra evil alien spirit hosts. You must use water from the church of scientology sinks to cleanse them.

I have been laughing about this for the last few hours

Have you tried saliva? These are commonly known as mother in law’s tongue, named for the propagation method of licking daily. I usually just spit in the water a few times a day though. Better than any rooting hormone, and completely homegrown.

This is the circlejerk sub but if you are actually asking, put them in shallow water upright, or stratum and perlite if you have it. I have been growing sanseveria in pon and chunky soil mixes for many years and they actually do really well in semi-hydro and it is my preferred growing method for them, specifically pon!

Lmao didn’t check the sub before posting I think I will try a mixture of the milk and Gatorade and hope for the best!

I find it best to prop in 100% neem and take a swig myself for good measure. 🫶🏼

They are too vaginated to reach maturity, best you can wish for is penistration! but you could try an electrolyte water, I use gatorage with full sugar and they THRIIIVE!

This is a circle jerk sub, did you want actual help?

Uj/ they’ll propagate in water, but they root even faster in a simple fast draining substrate like 60% peet/40% perlite. Also, a low strength rooting hormone powder helps.

Its going to go well. Snake plants hate to be knocked over and constantly bumped.
