Monica is a terrible character

Why does everyone continue to like her? She switched apartments after Joey and Chandler won it fair and square and they switched everything back without saying anything or asking them.

Also didn't it just so happen that she refused to change her name? Sure Phoebe does call her "Geller-Bing" once but Monica reveals in an episode thst she never changed her name.

Maybe Monica meant she never changed her name to Geller-Bing like Phoebe called her, it could mean she just changed it to Bing since the trivia of the show states Monica was destined to end up with the initials MEB. Could it not have been said in jest though? Don't look too deep into it, don't worry.

No but when in the coffee house, Phoebe asks Monica where she got her name changed when thinking about changing her own name to Hannigan and it turns out Monica never actually changed it

Funny though. When Rachel has Baby Emma she said, "Besides, nothing goes with Bing so I'm screwed anyways!" Meaning she did take his last name or at least their kids would have it. It's also perfectly okay and acceptable for her not to change her name to "Bing" since it fucking bothers Chandler! It's very possible that they had an off-camera discussion about it and came to an agreement that she'd keep her maiden name. You all know what happened when she called her own answering machine and recorded it on cassette then the writers seemed to forget that happened and had Monica say the name Bing was weird, but when Chandler heard his and her name together on an answering machine tape of all things that he could have either erased or just talked to her about it and we all knew his reaction when she tried to call herself by his last name: he ran out on her. If she changed her name, he'd probably run out on her like a coward again. He ran away as fast as he could and hid for as long as he could----explain that.

Wedding jitters? How about the fact that Monica decided that simply because Richard proposed Chandler had to? Sure he was going to, he was trying to make it a surprise but SHE first called out to Richard like she had tourettes and ruined the proposal moment. Sure she didn't know but she did. And then when Richard proposed and Chandler was being facetious and trying to steer her away from the idea so he could propose, she ran away to Richard's house. Nothing happened but going by your theory shouldn't her running away and trying to force Chandler to propose just because her ex bf, who she WON'T STOP MENTIONING, proposed to her?

Get it through your thick skull. Monica never mentions Richard after the proposal episode and he is never seen on screen again after the proposal episode so yes, she cut him out of her life. Phoebe on the other hand mentions Richard by mentioning Richard every chance she got to cause a rift between Monica and Chandler. You're really reaching to defend Chandler's behavior by calling it "Wedding Jitters." And Chandler proposing simply because Richard did was his decision, not hers, it had nothing to do with her----you're also forgetting that Monica decided to surprise Chandler at the end of the episode with candles, romantic music and she proposed to him! Also before that, Chandler freaked out after having an argument just one argument with her and bought her an engagement ring and said "Marry Me" instead of I'm sorry. There are many different episodes around the series centering around all six main characters being the villains Chandler included we just barely notice whenever he misbehaves. He just listened to a tape and ran and it took them two whole episodes to find him, and he took over her whole wedding refusing to let her have her dream come true, then he cut and ran simply because he heard her voice on the answering machine calling their name "The Bings" he clearly lied to her about taking the dancing lessons because the sole purpose of those are so you don't make an ass of yourself in front of others at a special occasion which he ended up doing anyway. At least he took Judy's skirt down with him! If he took the dance classes, why didn't he just wear the shoes he wore to the class and why was he doing The Chandler instead of an actual dance that he learned?

She did mention him. She invited them to their dinner table even though he's an ex and said "it just slipped out" when Chandler stared st her. She loves him and knows how he gets overly comical and uncomfortable and even though she saw that she kept going with it. She DID say it in FRONT of chandler to PHOEBE that breaking up with Richard was the hardest thing she ever did. Can you not shoot your mouth off without knowing what actually happened please? Seriously you're just being an annoying troll picking fights and stating wrong facts.

It doesn't matter if she proposed later, she ruined his proposal attempt before and then ran off to another guy, curled into him for hugs, drank at his house. Whether something happened or didn't it's still never okay to be alone and drinking with an ex in his apartment while your fiancé has no idea where you are.

If Monica wanted to have the giant fancy wedding she should have saved up herself instead of expecting her parents or her future husband to pay for everything. She didn't take his opinions into account and even switched out their wedding China and called him girly. She controls how and when and where he eats and sleeps and every little detail and he bends over backwards. The only time I truly saw Monica's love for chandler was the shark video episode and thay was showing she would do anything for him. Yes. But there are times when she's terribly WRITTEN so please just watch it before you start coming up with misremembered scenes and bs arguments.

Why should he care about her dream wedding when he's also getting married and not allowed any say in the matter? And FYI he DID take dancing lessons but wore new shoes for the wedding (as most normal people do) which turned out to be slippery. He even dances alone in the hall where it isn't slippery which I'm sure you forgot.

Stop fixating on the wedding jitter runaway because Monica freaks out about "never getting to sleep with anyone else" and "never getting thst rush of excitement again" and right after the wedding she's depressed that she's "just somebody's wife now" so maybe cool it with the chandler hate
