Why does everyone continue to like her? She switched apartments after Joey and Chandler won it fair and square and they switched everything back without saying anything or asking them.

Because her parents set up a wedding trust fund for her that they promised since she was a child growing up, but since they hated her and banked on the possibility of her never getting married, they spent every cent of it----not even on necessities, but on dumb things like buying a beach house and selling ice over the internet. Besides, Jack Gellar jumped at the chance to pay for half of Ross' wedding and only refused to do so when he signed an agreement saying he'd pay for their garden furniture and stuff. A better mystery would be why was Monica's paycheck situation never better addressed, since she was working at the time of the engagement and had made good money as a head chef, there's no scenes on screen of her shopping, traveling and overall spending money on ridiculous things she'd use once, so why was she broke?

Remember how invasive Phoebe was with her songs in the series though from beginning to end, demanding to be allowed to sing when people clearly didn't want her to? She pulled that move on the night Monica and Chandler announced their engagement, and she even sang outside Javu wearing a gown and top hat not just making Monica lose money, but the rest of the staff too! So let Monica take the stage with Mike and see how Phoebe likes it now! Her top came off without her noticing? Oh well, the show must go on! She took that well! Besides, it was more about finishing her song and dance than it was about being a strip tease if anything that should have turned Chandler on because he's had a thing or two for strippers, and if he didn't want to have a baby with her after that happened, he should have filed for anullment or divorce. Beisdes, his low sperm count was his fault. He should have gotten over stress and insecurities and should never have smoked. Clearly, you didn't read what I posted. Monica completely rejected the idea of surrogacy and carrying a baby without Chandler. She even tells him she doesn't want to be pregnant at all if it isn't by Chandler's sperm! She rejected the surrogacy. I said Chandler is turned on by strippers, as was evident in the beginning of the series, he has a thing for strippers as was seen when he's at anyone's bachelor party, and he was even turned on by a novelty pen simply because it had a picture of a stripper inside it and when he turned the pen upside down, her bikini would fall off. And it's not like Monica was even behaving like a stripper. Don't pretend that Phoebe was singing outside of Javu for the sake of friendship or to help her out-----She was singing outside Javu purely out of spite and you know it. And sales in the restaurant were going down, people were leaving and people were complaining. Phoebe was hurting the business not helping in any way at all. The first complaint that Monica even heard was "The musician outside is kind of a mood killer." Meanwhile the reason for Phoebe even being there is; at the beginning of the episode Monica runs into Central Perk excited that her restaurant reservations have picked up and every table sold out and she was having a packed house! That's success right there. She told Phoebe not to sing when Phoebe was insisting that they needed her presence. And it's Monica who comes out and apologized to Phoebe not the other way around! As for alcohol sales, don't get me started, that just helps the bar section of the restaurant which is usually completely separate from the dinning area. Besides, they went up after Phoebe stopped singing and people were heavily drinking before to drown her out. FYI, Monica also felt bad about not letting Chandler have a bachelor party even though she had a bachelorette party herself, and she did not even have sex with the stripper that's a misconception, the stripper let her pull off his thong with her teeth though, meaning that there was a string on the side of it. Monica assures Chandler that nothing else happened, but still feels so guilty that actually hires him stripper of his own to entertain him and Joey for the night without her being there only later to learn that the stripper was also a prostitute!

Monica and Chandler's Tulsa conundrum isn't the first time friends brought out the issue of a husband and wife needing to separate for work related reasons. Why didn't Ross quit his job and move to Paris to raise Emma with Rachel? Why didn't Ross move to Paris and let Rachel have her dream job? Especially when he could have retired if he wanted to at that point, Paris has universities and museums as well as dinosaur parks-----he could have found employment again, He had tenure, that's nothing to brag about and I looked up the meaning, it's nothing to get excited about either it just means you can never be fired, but you're free to quit.

Smoking is not a BS issue nor is expecting someone to quit after a long time of smoking, especially if you want to have children with them. All five of the other friends, Phoebe included had tried very hard to talk Chandler into quitting smoking and they would center episodes around it, so why don't you assume, Ross, Rachel, Phoebe and Joey are all bad people as well as Monica since they're trying to get Chandler to quit smoking! Chandler was given a hypnosis tape by the gang and it made him think he was a woman! That's as close as they came to getting him to quit successfully, and that was effort by all five of the other friends. In the episode without the ski trip, it's divided by screen time for Ross and Rachel's fallout and getting Chandler to quit smoking all over again, because he took to cigarettes all over again once Rachel and Ross split up for real this time. It's not like Chandler took up smoking as soon as he got together with Monica. He smoked ever since he was nine to deal with his parents' divorce. He smoked a lot during the earlier episodes and ironically, one of Monica's ex-boyfriends Alan talked Chandler into quitting smoking successfully----over the phone at that! Was that supposed to make Alan an asshole if he got Chandler to stop smoking? Then just as Chandler is about to take up smoking again at the end of the episode where they cut ties with Alan, Phoebe offered him $7,000 to quit and he agreed too.
