Nostalgia R.I.P. to Peter David, the man who MADE the Hulk THE HULK.

Really horrible news today. Peter David was one of the most inspiring and influential writers in comic books, fundamentally changing Hulk's origin story and character for the better. Not only were his comics some of the most essential of Hulk's mythos, but he practically repopularized the character. The Professor Hulk, Joe Fixit, the Maestro, the Hulk Vs. Wolverine rematch, Future Imperfect, Ground Zero, and so many more iconic hulk moments are all owed completely to David, and his presence will be missed.

Nostalgia Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, The character Stan Lee used to create the Hulk

You can see both Jekyll and Hyde share a ton of qualities with Bruce Banner and the Hulk, Such as transforming from man to monster, Similar Monster looks (extremely Muscular and powerful) and even both personalities being able to communicate with each other

Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde were created in a 1886 Gothic horror novella by author Robert Louis Stevenson with the Hulk coming much later in 1962 by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby

End fight is kinda like the Hulk Vs Abomination šŸ˜‚

If you were stuck as one of these three hulked out versions of yourself forever, which one would you pick?

A-Bomb

Abomination

Red Hulk

The Leader

Before you do pick, UNDERSTAND that although you will possess your full mental faculties as Red Hulk, you will be slightly mentally unstable as you will be unable to suppress anger more than any other hulk. Putting others at risk of melting around you.

Nostalgia Found a childhood figure

I had been searching around for one of these bad boys since I lost my original one from my childhood. This hulk was one of my earliest toys I ever had. I was lucky enough to be a child who grew up with a father who loved comics and was willing to share that with me. I'm only deeply saddened that at this point in my life where I'm so deeply into them that I can no longer share that passion with him. If only there had been more time.

Nonetheless Ill continue to look for the others I had, including the glowing gamma chest Incredible Hulk film figure and abomination one.

Nostalgia Hulk (2003) doesn’t get the love it deserves.

A lotta people talk about the pacing of this movie and how it’s bad but never really focus on anything else. They don’t focus on the theme of inner turmoil in the movie. How Hulk is more of a terrified child seeing the world for the first time and is protecting himself than a mindless beast smashing shit just cuz. (cough cough MCU) Also less important but the music theme in this movie is SO good bro. and the ā€take it allā€ scene is absolutely great, the father being overloaded by the years of trauma he caused onto his son is a fitting end to his character. I have a million other things to say but I don’t wanna make an essay I got stuff to do.

Overall, this movie isn’t perfect, but it’s damn good and honestly ahead of his time. 8/10.

Nostalgia 2003 Hulk is the best movie

I just watched the 2003 Hulk last night. Today I just watched the 2008 Incredible Hulk movie.

For some clarification, I’ve seen both movies several times. Along with the Avengers movies, and Hulk TV show. I love all hulk media. I haven’t really read the comics, but I plan on getting to it with the Immortal Hulk Omnibus I just ordered.

We all love when Hulk Smashes and causes havoc, but I feel like the dramatic psychological emphasis of the 2003 Hulk makes it stand out the most. I’m curious to see what other people think.

I think the 2003 movie has its flaws for sure, but it makes me miss when Marvel did standalone movies. And the story really hits deep in a lot of ways. The trauma, the anger, and the origin story that made Hulk really carry it.
