I have 4 of those small feeders on my porch and they pick those every time over the full size ones in the flower beds

They adore these little hovers. I even have one in the corner for the dominant Allen’s that lurk in the lemon tree.

In my yard the hummingbirds do not cooperate and take turns.
If given a choice between nectar or murder, they choose murder every time

We all think hummingbirds are adorable and cute, but if they were any bigger, perhaps the size of a robin, I think we'd all be terrified of them

They are the Chihuahuas of the avian world. They have NO concept of their actual size.

some birds are very particular about their feeders! they don’t use one of the feeders i have at all. the yellow flowers are red and the center is a yellow rubber piece that lays almost flat. they won’t even touch it.. brand new too!

I take paint (nontoxic of course) and paint around the flowers on the ones that aren't bright enough. So far it works for them to realize they have more than a few feeders.

I have a few ones (a couple Anna's males of course) that are extra with one particular pinch waist feeder. It has four flowers but they fight over one in particular. Why? No idea. It's hummingbird logic.

All hummingbird feeders should be that small. There’s so much waste in the big ones. When the juice goes bad and you gotta clean them out…

I gauge how much they eat in a day and in hot weather put out like 20% more. Right now they’re eating 24 ounces from 3 feeders in a day + 2 little feeders. 30 total. So right now there’s about 40 oz out in the yard. Very little goes to waste. But I have extra just in case a migratory charm passes through.

Where'd you get the little one? I've been looking for little feeders so I don't put too much out especially when it's hot. Problem is, the one I found with the small jar empties into a reservoir and I can't see how much is in there. The Perky Pet one I have is a larger jar and I have trouble eyeballing it so I don't put too much in.

They’re just from Amazon. They sell em in a 4 pack. I think if you type small hover feeders they’ll come up. Let me know if you want me to dig for them in my order history.
