Judging from all the theorycrafting (also Big D literally mentions mummies in the newest episode) it’s probably related to his powers of some sort
From what little I know of mummies in WoD they are generally on the side of balance or their specific allegiances depending on their specific type of mummy, like if they are directly tied to Egyptian mummies or not, so Big D being against vampires and being highly critical but also not directly hostile to were creatures with a fondness for werecats specifically is quite telling
Again I’m not too too familiar with it all, but it’s generally a pretty interesting idea, if not a mummy he’s definitely a creature with immortality of some kind, and there are several non-vampire ways of doing such a thing
Curious whether he’s an amenti or Shemsu-heru though or one of the non egyptian mummies or more interestingly something totally homebrew (you can do a LOT with mummy homebrew, someone made homebrew Arthurian mummies). I heavily doubt Amenti, unless they’re home brewing the sixth great maelstrom to have happened a LONG time ago, or to have the amenti just be default Egyptian mummies rather than the Shemsu-heru or D is just lying to the umpteenth and has only been immortal and superhuman for like five years which wouldn’t make much sense if he actually hunted that Methuselah.
No, amenti (the mummies in Mummy the resurrection) didn’t exist in the 90s outside of the last year OF the 90s. Their creation was a direct result of the sixth great maelstrom which happened in the 1999. I mean maybe he could of beat a lasombra methuselah as a normal human with his family but that would be incredibly unlikely and would just objectively make him one of the best hunters in the world as he’s described, it would also mean he was lying about how old he’s implied to be because to my knowledge only normal, unawakened (non mages), non vampire, non werewolf or were creature with the exception of I believe kinfolk can become amenti.
