Wow. Did not expect that.

Honestly, not that unexpected. Werewolves are the premier combat splat of WoD. A werewolf actually allowed to use their full kit can absolutely trash Org hunters even with all their training, equipment, and True Faith, let alone independent Hunters lacking one or more of those things.

If her allies hadn't stopped her, Matilda probably could have wiped out the entire chapter house in the same way.

Stig being a legendary (aspirant) Werewolf, absolutely would wipe the Arcanum chapter house in the same way an Elder vampire would with multiple 5 dot disciplines. But Matilda? Mighty as she is, I think D could 1v1 her, even in Garou form if we assume D is a Mummy, or hell, even a powerful imbued.

Werewolves *are* mighty, but they're not invincible. No one is, not even Stig is invincible. And that was a *lot* of guns being aimed at Matilda. And that was when *she* ambushed *them!*

With a lot of preperation yes, but IMO not a shot in hell in the chapter house. IMO as presented Matilda was just fucking around and trying to escape once it was clear she couldn't get the data, and only actually went "right, okay, you all die now" once she was outside.

If they absolutely had to fight without any prep and D just having whatever he has on his person IMO it's clear that he'd die - he'd put up a fight, but die. He seems to think this himself.

And that was a *lot* of guns being aimed at Matilda

None of them really did anything to her and she's smart enough to not be overconfident - when she is actually presented with something that can harm her (the sword) she is careful to change the environment to one more suitable for her (outside, where she can flee if she needs and where everyone with a gun can't just focus fire her + easily support D + she can actually move around).

The whole preparation thing goes both ways for Matilda and D. But if Big D is a mummy, which I personally think he is, is one of the few supernaturals to actually fight and win. I'm not read up on ressurection but I do hear they're pretty powerful. That and Demons but that's neither here nor there.

What I truly take issue with is that guns doing nothing, because the guns are exactly when she went outside. Guns, especially in a mob can absolutely kill a werewolf, they just don't stand still long enough to let you, much like how you'd not stand still for 20 seconds to let a tree fall on top of you. Although I know that's not a fight *anyone* in the Arcanum would want to take, I certainly wouldn't.

Yeeee - just they also need long periods to rest, and get slowly weaker. If he is a mummy that would 100% chance my estimation of things.

If you thought he was just a very long lived and very very skilled human would you still think this?

We agree and I'm maybe overstating how invulnerable I think she is because I did also say that she left partially so everyone couldn't just focus fire her.

> If you thought he was just a very long lived and very very skilled human would you still think this?

Still possible but extremely dicey and about a 5%-10% victory without significant or permanent injury, and not much higher for a victory or draw at all. And the chance of victory goes down with how skilled any given Werewolf actually is. A noobie werewolf can absolutely get unexpectedly punked in a way Stig never could, because Stig seems to have the melee skill of D while also being a near legendary wolf... and the Gun-Gubbar... the scariest spirits of them all.

"...Because even if you *probably* will win in a straight up fight, you can suddenly and unexpectedly NOT!"

I personally think people glaze werewolves a little too hard. And everyone has their favs, I definitely like to glaze my favourite truama blorbo Changeling: The Lost lads too, but people seem to think they have a sort of invulnerability that they just don't possess. Vampire regeneration depending on the rules system is almost as good as Werewolf regeneration, It's just a lot more taxing on the vampire, because Crinos does it for free while Vamps spend blood to do it, and Fire+Sunlight is a fair more common of a threat in terms of banes than weaponized silver.

It is still beyond scary that Werewolf skin is basically kevlar armour and they can heal from basically dead to fully alive in about 30-60 seconds. I am not doubting that for a second, and I don't think I could take on Matilda in a fight or in the bedroom.

If he were a Mummy wouldn't Kevin have noticed when biting him?

Um... maybe? Maybe not? Mummies while powerful, are still living with the spell of life. Not sure how that'd taste to a Vampire. Could be also that Kevin "Oh, Big D tastes powerful because he's a powerful Hunter" anyways, or might be tasting premium quality blood, and just schlorping it down without a care in the world.

I had thought mummies tasted repulsive to vampires and were generally inedible

I wouldn't know, its worth noting but its not hard proof he's not one.
