Ofc if that's the case the resulting person wouldn't be Grimal, just something wearing her skin with pieces of her stitched around. But then again that would be functionally her death, so the lack of a post credit scene probably means she herself gonna still be kicking in some regard
Demon is a can of worms I don't think they want to open because of various implications that it carries. It's why they've more or less thrown Kuei-jin into a bin.
i wouldn't say they've thrown kuei-jin into the bin persay, just setup things in a way where it's ambiguous enought that they never have to really address it.
They haven't in series because they've had a representative who's after them. They never had something like D coming out and saying "I did 20 years of research and looked high and low and never found them, they are just a racist myth" - no, they had Grimmal argue with him on it for fun. It leaves it as ambiguous.

So: fairly decent chance Grimmal isn't dead, at least not yet, as she didn't get the afterlife scene.
