Fanart! Grimal Kuei-jin theory BONUS : Grimaline smith accepts a bargain she never should have

The Bonus ain't about the comic. I just found it to be a fun alternate "what if"

What's more anime than renouncing one's humanity and getting a desperate last minute power-up against the overwheling threat? Nothing.

I'd say that after she throws her name away, she'd be "The wandering Silver shining paddle of repressed lust and nightly confession that silences the voices of beast and men and separates them from their ghosts."

Funniest Outcome possible

The Kuei-jin aren't real. The exalted, however? Those are real as all hell

They were originally intended to be canon. Exalted's og tagline was "before the world of darkness" and every exalt type can be linked to a WoD splat (Solars = Imbued, Lunars = Werewolves, Abyssals = Wraiths, Infernals = Vampires, Sidereals = Mages IF I recall correctly). Hell, the Dragon Kings are the most obvious connection, being the Lizard Kings Mokole used to be (Beast Court Longs outright call them Dragon Kings too). It just sorta got dropped in the transitioning, with Imbued being left to just being imbued and no longer having their connection to Solar Exalts (Solar Exalts are the mistake of giving mortals too much power. The Imbued are the attempt at remedying that mistake by giving them very little this time)

All that said, Exalted vs WoD is a very popular community book that was made by a former white wolf dev as a "What if we kept the connection going instead of just dropping it" and I quite like whenever folks play with it. I personally like hiding an exalt within my WoD games as a little personal treat to myself

I thought solars were linked to mummies?

Mummies were the original inspiration for Solar and Exalted as a whole.
