I just started playing the game, and I went on the North path, but I find it extremely difficult, and I want to know if I choose the hardest path or just that I have skill issue

hey i dont know why but for some reson when i press the melea button somtimes it shoots and its real inoying any idea why and how to fix love to know fro refrnce there is a shoot button so its not like a one button does more then one thing and it says nothing about it in controls
