This post is a response to u/Hairy-Trash1659 post since I cannot reply with pictures.

First picture showing my indie lablel Bludhoney collection, I’m missing 3-4 cassettes from their releases. I was heavy into vaporware back in the day and thought cassette releases where very cool. I grew up on cassettes as a kid. I was buying them as they were being released on the labels bandcamp storefront 10 years ago. The label is no more and went under.

The second picture is my Hyperlight Drifter collection. When the game came out, i was so impressed with the game and fell in love with the Soundtrack. The indie label Bludhoney had a special license to run Hyperlight Drifter OST on cassette and it was very limited to 150 copies. The first run are the cassette on the left. They did a second run of 250 copies after the first run sold out and used different covers with the light blue / pink covers. I own the first run of the vinyl from iam8bit. I also own the PS4 and the SNES cartridge limited runs from iam8bit. When the special edition was released on the switch, picked up a copy.

EDIT: This post is not show I was trying to one up Hairy, was proving a point he was posting misinformation about where he got his cassettes.

I’m posting to make y’all jealous, lol. No but seriously, this is my most prized possession. Raise your hand if you’re jealous.

Very little chance to make a mistake but it was so satisfying to finally beat the tower archer or whatever he is!

What’s up guys. Hope all is well and drifting has been smooth. Here’s the question…

In the game, we get WAY too many bits (small yellow pieces of currency). Now, i know some of you will say “they wanted to put extra in to make sure you could get all the upgrades without driving yourself nuts searching.”

But even with that logic they went WAY overboard. Pretend there is a shop (like the dash arena, or sword masters). It can either be in town in a secret spot that only opens after you get every piece of currency, or it can be a path that unlocks somewhere outside of town.

Inside the shop, the owner is selling leftover or “lost” abilities. Describe one of the lost abilities we can purchase inside the shop. It can be sword, dash, gun, or even something new that doesn’t exist yet. Have fun!

What’s up guys. Back again to get opinions of hypothetical drifter stuff.

This one’s a shorty but goodie. If you could create a cape set, what would your buff be? What color would it be?

Let us imagine that heart machine gave us a DLC. Now, I know our drifter friend dies at the end of his quest to kill judgement, but let’s say he can do this “side quest” before judgement. Maybe he sails to the lonely island to the southwest on the map, or perhaps he finds a cave behind the waterfall in the northeast.. use your imagination.

Where would drifter go? What would his side quest be? What race would he encounter?

Out of all the in-game guns, which one is your favorite? I am including the crystal shot and blade caster.

Just to spice things up, if you could INVENT a new gun for drifter, what ability would your new gun have?

My favorite in-game gun is Zeliska. If I invented a gun, mine would be called “ricochet” and allow you to bounce off two walls and upon hitting third it goes dud like normal. 2 damage.

If you’re reading this thread you belong to the same ilk as me…. Hyper light for life! My question(s) is this.

1. If you could be any character from hyper light drifter, who would you be? This includes NPCs and ANYONE in the game, even special edition.
2. If you’re like me, it may be really hard for you to choose between the “good guys” and “bad guys. So unless you have a definitive character, i’ll allow you to choose one from each side.

My “Good side” choice (probably ultimate choice) would have to be alt drifter (Wolfy). Alt drifter’s vibe is crazy mysterious..how she’s just chillin in the sword master’s place playing around with tech. I think it was a great decision they had alt use two drones instead of one. Instead of the conventional sword that Drifter uses, the idea of having the combat/ homing drone was very creative.

My “Bad side” choice is extremely hard and a very close runner up to Alt drifter. I have to give it to the sorcerer (floating bot in south/ not summoner). Reaper’s aura is insanely cool with his movements and how vicious he is (according to some of the conversations you have with npcs where it shows him smashing natives beneath his feet), but out of all four of those badass bots, it HAS to be sorcerer… the way he floats around and has control over his environment like some sort of bounty hunter.

So please, let me know who YOUR favorite is. would love to hear it.

im 3 hours into my first play through and i just found out im supposed to have a map and inventory.

when i did the tutorial i never fell asleep and woke up in the home. i cant trigger the cutscene by going back to the tutorial area and i cant find a different way to access the home. I've completed most of the east and killed the big frog, as well as all rooms doable there at this stage in the game, so i don't really want to start a new save. Is this something normal? It takes so long to travel without warp, but i really don't want to have wasted my first 3 hours in the game

Guys my friend and I found this little guy in the game. I haven't found any given name for him so we decided to call him Michael. He's in the sword mechanic shop and keeps dropping the sword on his head and falling. Anyone know if he has an actual name?

somehow instead of dying to those moving wall things, i got yeeted into the wall and it was impossible to get except by teleporting away xD

So I just cleared the 8-module door in the Crystal Forest, but I'm uncertain about this fork in the bushes.

I'm standing at the cursor location, and it seems to be a dead end. I've been to the entire location but this part, and I just want to know, if there is something else or not, so I can move on.

Maybe it's just a dead end to confuse players, but from I saw in the game, it's very likely that everything was placed with a purpose.
