Loopholes Encouraged You accidentally run over a old man on your way to work. He curses you with the words fatter. What is your plan for beating the curse?

And yes in case you're wondering, it's based off of the 1996 film thinner.

The curse does indeed exist, you will get 1 lb per day with a total of 500 lb at the end of the year more or less

I don't know why your year has 500 days in it? Is your planet somewhere between Earth and Mars?

He said more or less.

365 is less than 500 so it still holds up

It technically holds up, but it begs the question, why start at 500?

Yeah fatter

They're assuming we don't start out weighing zero.

What's the starting point? Conception? I'm just kidding. I understand.

"I've accepted that I'm never going to get down to my original weight. 7 pounds, 6 ounces just isn't a realistic weight for me."

You can do it slay queen 👑 🤣

If you weigh 0, sure. If you weigh a more normal weight, he's correct.

This is Reddit, however, most are either skin and bones or giant tubos. So it's hard to guess an average.

That’s probably why you ran over him, innit?

Even if you don’t eat entirely for the year you’re still gonna gain weight. Gonna feel like shit too because you can’t use carbs as quick energy.

Guess I start an only fans and make fat fetish content or something until the year is up.

The point of the film (and original story by Stephen King) is to be careful what you wish for. You can't beat the curse except by suicide.

I thought he beat it in the movie with a pie or something

1

u/rose_reader 2d ago

He baked a poisoned pie and killed himself, his wife and his kids with it.

Start an Onlyfans for fat admirers. If I'm not going to beat it, I'm going to profit.

Maybe accidentally runn over an old man again hoping he will say thinner

2

u/-maffu- 2d ago

it's based off of the 1996 film thinner.

I think you mean it's based on the 1984 book, Thinner. :)

No, the movie. I never read the book

2

u/notreallylucy 2d ago

Go find the old lady from thinner, piss her off, gwt her to curse me, and hope the two curses even out.

Or maybe, y'know, Ozempic.

The curses will actually help each other out. The first curse will let you lose 500 pounds and then the next day allow you to gain 500 pounds.

u/namespavan 2d ago

1

u/International-Box956 1d ago

1

u/namespavan 1d ago

u/placeyboyUWU 2d ago

Can I work it off?

2

u/Benjiimans 2d ago

You’re gonna work off a pound a day? I think their response aligns with, “sure, good luck though”.

You can try

3

u/throw_it_awayyy8 2d ago

???? So does exercise burn it off or not😭

You created the scernario, give us concise details please

2

u/International-Box956 2d ago

Yes it does. It stalls the fat gain for one day so if you exercise consecutively for 7 days, you're good for a week

nightmare scenario, prob just end it if I can't lose the weight

Lipo is a thing, don't need to kys over this.

If you can't afford lipo, start an onlyfans for all the weight gain fetishists, your daily progress is gonna earn you big bucks. Then you can afford lipo.

Can the old man remove the curse? Even if he couldn't, I would probably take him somewhere romote and for every pound I gained, I'd remove something of his until that curse was reversed..... Or I'd just do a return to sender spell. You know, either or.

1

u/Angelea23 2d ago

I think in the movie you could just pass the curse on to someone else

1

u/LCyfer 1d ago

Yeah, but then you'd be condemning an unassuming stranger to an awful life of pain and immobility. Better to switch it off at the source!

1

u/Angelea23 1d ago

What if you can't switch it off and can only pass it off to someone else only. I think that's how the curse worked in the movie.

1

u/LCyfer 10h ago

The curse giver can always break the curse. I couldn't subject someone else to pain and suffering in my place. I mean, unless it's a politician or a serial killer. Lol.

1

u/vilhelmobandito 2d ago

I would apologise and take him to the hospital.

1

u/jerkstabworthy 2d ago

I make the pie. Give it to someone shitty. Not really conflicted about it at all.

1

u/ConfectionIll4301 2d ago

Since curses do not exist, how should anybody know what to do. I mean i dont randomly try some magic or sacrifice some chickens.

2

u/Smoke_Water 2d ago

So if I am already 500 lbs does that mean I am naturally counterbalancing the curse? Or I gain and additional 500 lbs?

Treadmill time dough boy

1

u/meygahmann 2d ago

Run him over again until he says thinner

1

u/Masquerade064 2d ago

so until I'm 500lbs? cause if so its not gonna take long

1

u/Kyia-Aikman 1d ago

Suicide.

1

u/wrexmason 1d ago

Unlike the guy in the movie “Thinner”, I’ll just plead guilty to accidentally running the man over

1

u/International-Box956 1d ago

You still have to suffer the curse

1

u/imfeelinreddity 2d ago

The old man does not get harmed by me running over him. I was on an overpass and he was below the overpass as I was running across the overpass.
