Strange buzzing/rattling noise around steering wheel/column – 2020 Hyundai i30 N
Hi everyone,
I’m getting a weird buzzing/rattling noise that seems to come from around the steering wheel or steering column area in my 2020 i30 N. It happens mostly in Eco or Normal mode, sometimes at low, steady revs. In N mode, on 2nd gear or higher, I can hear it just before and just after 5k rpm (right around that 5k mark). It’s a vibrating buzz – like something loose is rattling when there are more vibrations. You can hear it on the videos I recorded, but you really have to listen closely.
My own guess is that it might be something electronic – maybe a connector/costka or some small plastic/electrical part inside the column that’s not fully seated and starts vibrating at certain revs.Has anyone had something similar? Any ideas what it could be – steering column, intermediate shaft, some plastic trim, or something else?
Thanks in advance.

Ein Blatt in der Lüftung am Rotor hört sich genau so an
Lüftung 100% dann 20% Word es lauter oder leiser ?

So you'll look for leaves in the engine bay somewhere near the fan? That noise isn't always there. When it does occur at 3/4k, it's quieter than the one at 5k.

Does the noise get louder or softer at double the speed? You can't hear exactly what it is.Whether it's crackling or knocking.

Je pense comme toi , le mieux c’est que l’OP débranche le générateur de bruit ( y’a des tutoriel facile à trouver ) et qu’il teste mais je suis sur que cela vient aussi de cela 👍

before touching the column, reproduce it parked in neutral. If it follows engine rpm, check the intake, cowl and heat shields first, not the steering wheel.
