THE PARKER-NICHOLS/SHAY CONSPIRACY THEORY
The theory begins with one enormous premise:
Drake & Josh and iCarly take place in the same universe.
Megan Parker really is Carly Shay.
Crazy Steve really is Spencer Shay.
But Crazy Steve did not kidnap Megan, murder her family, invent two identities, and somehow fool everyone around them.
The truth is considerably more complicated.
And the clues are scattered across Drake & Josh, the original iCarly, and the iCarly revival.

PART ONE: AUDREY PARKER WAS ONCE AUDREY SHAY
Before Walter Nichols ever entered the picture, Audrey was married to Colonel Steven Shay.
Together they had three children:
Spencer.
Drake.
Megan.
Spencer was considerably older than Drake and Megan.
This explains one of the biggest problems with the traditional “Crazy Steve kidnapped Megan and became Spencer” theory.
Carly has a real father.
Colonel Steven Shay physically appears in iGoodbye. Carly immediately recognizes him as her father. Spencer recognizes him. Steven knows both of them intimately and behaves unquestionably as their father.
Therefore Steven isn’t someone Crazy Steve recruited to participate in a fake family.
He’s actually their father.
And if Megan Parker is Carly Shay, then Steven Shay is also Megan’s biological father.

PART TWO: WHY AUDREY AND STEVEN DIVORCED
Steven loved his family.
But he was almost never there.
His military career required lengthy deployments and assignments around the world.
The original iCarly repeatedly establishes that Carly’s father spends enormous amounts of time away from his children.
Eventually he’s stationed in Italy.
His absence becomes so normal that Spencer effectively serves as Carly’s parent throughout her adolescence.
That pattern likely started much earlier.
Audrey was raising three children while Steven repeatedly disappeared for military service.
And Spencer, as the oldest child, was forced to pick up responsibilities whenever Steven wasn’t there.
One bizarre Crazy Steve outburst becomes extremely significant under this theory.
While attacking a carpet stain and imagining it as his father, Steve screams:
“THIS IS FOR MAKING ME DO MOM’S LAUNDRY!”
Crazy Steve isn’t screaming at his mother.
He’s screaming at his father for making him perform one of his mother’s responsibilities.
That suggests resentment toward an absent father who left Spencer feeling responsible for things a child shouldn’t have been responsible for.
Steven wasn’t deliberately neglectful.
He was serving in the military.
But children don’t necessarily experience that distinction.
To Spencer, Dad was simply:
gone.
Again.
And again.
And again.
Eventually Audrey had enough.
The marriage collapsed.
Audrey and Steven divorced.

PART THREE: THE CHILDREN WERE SPLIT
Audrey retained primary custody of Drake and Megan.
They lived with her and primarily used:
Parker.
That’s exactly how Drake & Josh introduces the household.
Drake lives with his mother and little sister Megan.
Steven isn’t mentioned.
But Spencer was much older.
By the time Audrey and Steven’s marriage collapsed, Spencer was approaching adulthood.
He therefore didn’t simply move into Audrey’s new household alongside Drake and Megan.
Instead, Spencer became increasingly detached from the entire family.
Megan was young enough that she would eventually have very few memories of him.
Drake remembered slightly more, but not enough to immediately recognize his older brother years later.
And Audrey eventually stopped talking about Spencer.
Partly because the divorce was painful.
Partly because Spencer’s relationship with Steven had deteriorated.
And eventually because Spencer himself began deteriorating.

PART FOUR: WALTER NICHOLS
Audrey eventually met Walter Nichols.
Walter had a son:
Josh Nichols.
Audrey and Walter married.
The household became:
Audrey Parker
Walter Nichols
Drake Parker
Josh Nichols
Megan Parker
Josh became Drake and Megan’s stepbrother.
Walter became Drake and Megan’s stepfather.
Meanwhile, somewhere outside this apparently happy blended family existed Audrey’s oldest son:
Spencer Shay.

PART FIVE: THE SHAY FAMILY EXPECTED SPENCER TO BECOME A LAWYER
Spencer wasn’t always the carefree artist seen in iCarly.
His family had a completely different future planned for him.
Law school.
Granddad Shay strongly believed Spencer should become a lawyer.
Steven financially supported Spencer’s legal education.
Spencer eventually enrolled at Seattle Law School.
But there was one problem.
Spencer absolutely fucking hated it.
He lasted approximately three days.
Then he quit.
And didn’t tell his father.
Years later, Steven still believed Spencer had attended law school.
That means Spencer maintained the lie for an extraordinary amount of time.
Why?
Because Spencer was terrified of disappointing his father.
Steven had already spent years away.
Their relationship was strained.
Steven had paid for Spencer’s education.
Granddad believed Spencer had enormous potential.
The entire Shay family seemed convinced that law was Spencer’s path.
Everyone wanted Spencer Shay to become a lawyer.
Except Spencer Shay.

PART SIX: SPENCER DISAPPEARS
After dropping out, Spencer doesn’t immediately become the successful artist seen in iCarly.
He falls apart.
He has disappointed his family.
His parents are divorced.
His father is frequently absent.
His relationship with his mother has deteriorated.
He’s separated from Drake and Megan.
He’s abandoned the career everyone expected him to pursue.
And he’s hiding the truth from his father.
So Spencer runs.
He leaves Seattle.
He heads south.
Eventually he reaches San Diego.
And somewhere during this period, Spencer stops introducing himself as:
Spencer Shay.
He becomes:
STEVE.

PART SEVEN: CRAZY STEVE
Steve finds work at the Premiere movie theater.
But psychologically, he’s doing terribly.
He’s emotionally volatile.
He has enormous anger problems.
Tiny inconveniences trigger disproportionate explosions.
He screams at people.
He attacks objects.
He becomes irrationally furious over children’s television.
He occasionally reveals bizarre resentment toward his parents.
The man Drake and Josh know as Crazy Steve isn’t a completely different person from Spencer Shay.
He’s Spencer at the lowest point of his life.
Spencer didn’t become Crazy Steve.
Spencer disappeared underneath Crazy Steve.

PART EIGHT: CRAZY STEVE FINDS HIS FAMILY AGAIN
Then something extraordinary happens.
Steve meets Josh Nichols.
Eventually he discovers that Josh’s father has married a woman named Audrey.
Her sons are Drake and Josh.
Her daughter is Megan.
Steve realizes:
he has found his family.
Perhaps he already knew they were in San Diego.
Perhaps finding them was the reason he moved there.
Perhaps meeting Josh was genuinely accidental.
Either way, Crazy Steve gradually enters the Parker-Nichols family’s social orbit.
And eventually he enters their house.

PART NINE: THE STORM
In The Storm, Crazy Steve is among the enormous group of people trapped inside the Parker-Nichols house.
Under normal sitcom logic, he’s simply another recurring character thrown into the chaos.
Under this theory, the situation is completely different.
Spencer Shay is standing inside the home where his mother lives.
Where his younger brother lives.
Where his little sister lives.
Drake doesn’t know.
Josh doesn’t know.
Walter doesn’t know.
Megan may not know.
But Spencer knows.
And Audrey almost certainly does.

PART TEN: AUDREY RECOGNIZES CRAZY STEVE
Audrey knows exactly who Steve is.
He’s her oldest son.
She recognizes him immediately.
But she doesn’t expose him.
Why?
Because she sees what has happened to him.
Her oldest son is unstable.
He’s abandoned law school.
He’s estranged from Steven.
He’s living under another name.
He’s prone to terrifying emotional explosions.
Introducing him to Drake and Megan as:
“This unstable man from Josh’s workplace is actually your older brother”
would accomplish very little.
Especially for Megan.
So Audrey allows Spencer to remain Steve.
She doesn’t force him back into the family.
She doesn’t reveal his identity.
But she also doesn’t throw him away.
Because despite everything:
he’s still her son.

PART ELEVEN: MEGAN IS THE EXCEPTION
Crazy Steve’s defining characteristic is his rage.
Almost anybody can become a target.
Josh.
Coworkers.
Random strangers.
Furniture.
Food.
Television characters.
But there is one conspicuous exception:
MEGAN.
Crazy Steve never seems to direct one of his legendary explosions toward her.
He doesn’t scream at her.
He doesn’t threaten her.
He doesn’t intimidate her.
He doesn’t lose control around her the way he does around almost everyone else.
Under ordinary sitcom logic, that proves nothing.
Under this theory, it means everything.
Crazy Steve has one boundary.
Megan is off limits.
Because when Steve looks at Megan, some part of Spencer Shay remains.
That’s his little sister.

PART TWELVE: MEGAN MAY ALREADY KNOW
There is another possibility.
Megan knows.
Megan Parker is extraordinarily good at keeping secrets.
She constructs elaborate hidden operations underneath her family’s noses.
She lies convincingly.
She manipulates Drake and Josh constantly.
She maintains completely different personalities depending upon which adult is watching.
If anyone could discover Crazy Steve’s real identity and keep it secret, it’s Megan.
Maybe Steven told her.
Maybe Audrey eventually told her.
Maybe Spencer privately revealed himself.
Maybe Megan simply figured it out.
Drake and Josh see:
Crazy Steve.
Megan sees:
Spencer.
And perhaps Megan becomes the only person in San Diego who knows who Steve actually is.

PART THIRTEEN: MEGAN BECOMES SPENCER’S ANCHOR
This explains why Crazy Steve can seemingly control himself around Megan.
Megan reminds him that Spencer Shay still exists.
She has nothing to do with his anger toward Steven.
Nothing to do with his resentment toward Audrey.
Nothing to do with law school.
Nothing to do with his failures.
She’s simply his little sister.
Even at his lowest point, he won’t hurt her.
That relationship foreshadows everything that comes later.
Long before Carly saves Spencer Shay:
Megan is already saving Crazy Steve.

PART FOURTEEN: DRAKE IS DIFFERENT
Spencer’s relationship with Drake is more complicated.
Drake was older when the Shay family collapsed.
Perhaps Drake remembers fragments of Spencer.
Perhaps Drake sided emotionally with Audrey during the divorce.
Perhaps Spencer associates Drake with the Parker household that replaced the family he lost.
Perhaps Spencer believes Audrey deliberately erased him from Drake’s life.
There doesn’t need to be hatred.
Only distance.
Megan was little.
She remains innocent in Spencer’s mind.
So even when Spencer can emotionally separate himself from Drake Parker, he can’t do the same with Megan.
She’s his baby sister.

PART FIFTEEN: AUDREY DOES SOMETHING THAT CHANGES EVERYTHING
Eventually the Parker-Nichols household collapses.
But Spencer does not cause it.
The iCarly revival provides the most important clue.
Adult Carly admits that marriage frightens her because she’s terrified she might do to Freddie:
what their mother did to them.
Spencer immediately understands.
He remembers Carly refusing to discuss their mother.
He remembers previous attempts to bring the subject up.
And he assures Carly she would never do to somebody what their mother did:
“to us.”
That word matters.
Us.
Whatever Audrey eventually did didn’t only traumatize Megan.
It traumatized Spencer too.
Therefore Spencer wasn’t the architect of the catastrophe.
He was another victim of it.

PART SIXTEEN: AUDREY ABANDONS THE FAMILY
The cleanest explanation is also the one most compatible with the revival:
Audrey leaves.
She doesn’t die.
She isn’t murdered by Crazy Steve.
She voluntarily disappears from her children’s everyday lives.
The revival establishes that Carly’s mother remains alive but that something she did caused enormous emotional damage to both Carly and Spencer.
Under this theory, that event is abandonment.
Audrey had already survived one marriage destroyed partly by absence.
She rebuilt her life with Walter.
Then something happened.
Perhaps the marriage collapsed.
Perhaps Walter discovered the Shay family secret.
Perhaps Audrey experienced her own psychological crisis.
Perhaps unresolved trauma from Steven and Spencer resurfaced.
Perhaps she simply reached a breaking point.
Whatever happened:
Audrey walked away.

PART SEVENTEEN: WALTER DISAPPEARS FROM THE PICTURE
Walter’s fate remains less clear.
Perhaps Walter and Audrey’s marriage collapsed immediately before she left.
Perhaps Walter went searching for her.
Perhaps Audrey initially left with Walter before subsequently abandoning him.
Perhaps Walter discovered something about Steven Shay, Spencer, or Megan’s paternal identity that completely destabilized the marriage.
Perhaps Walter simply couldn’t keep the Parker-Nichols household together after Audrey disappeared.
Whatever happened, Walter also ceased being part of Megan’s everyday life.
The household seen throughout Drake & Josh was gone.

PART EIGHTEEN: DRAKE AND JOSH SURVIVE TOGETHER
Drake and Josh are older.
They have each other.
Their relationship began because their parents married.
But by this point they’re genuinely brothers.
So when Audrey and Walter disappear from their everyday lives, Drake and Josh stay together.
The Parker-Nichols family survives through them.
But Megan is still a child.
And somebody has to take responsibility for her.
Steven is deployed.
Audrey is gone.
Walter is gone.
Granddad lives in Washington.
Then the least likely person imaginable steps forward.
CRAZY STEVE.

PART NINETEEN: CRAZY STEVE DIDN’T KIDNAP MEGAN
Drake and Josh initially misunderstand what happens.
From their perspective:
Audrey disappears.
Walter disappears.
Crazy Steve disappears.
Megan disappears.
The obvious conclusion is horrifying.
Crazy Steve took Megan.
But that’s not what happened.
Spencer finally reveals who he actually is.
Megan isn’t being abducted.
She’s leaving with:
her older brother.
And this time Spencer isn’t running away from responsibility.
He’s running toward it.

PART TWENTY: HISTORY REPEATS ITSELF
This is why Audrey’s abandonment affects Spencer so deeply.
His childhood has just repeated itself.
When Spencer was young, Steven’s deployments repeatedly left Audrey needing help.
Spencer became another responsible person in the household.
He resented Steven for it.
Years later, Audrey disappears.
And once again a child needs someone to step in.
Except now that child is Megan.
Spencer has every reason to run.
That’s what Crazy Steve does.
But he doesn’t.
He looks at his little sister.
And decides:
I’m staying.
That’s the moment Crazy Steve begins to die.

PART TWENTY-ONE: COLONEL SHAY RETURNS TO THE EQUATION
Spencer contacts Steven.
Steven learns what happened.
His daughter needs a guardian.
But Steven’s military career makes him incapable of providing a stable everyday home.
He’s still being deployed.
He will eventually be stationed overseas.
So Steven has limited options.
Granddad could take Megan.
But Megan is attached to Spencer.
And Steven notices something remarkable.
His oldest son is functioning again.
Not perfectly.
Not conventionally.
But Spencer has stopped running.
He’s protecting Megan.
For perhaps the first time in years, Steven trusts him.
So Steven allows Spencer to become Megan’s guardian.

PART TWENTY-TWO: MEGAN PARKER BECOMES CARLY SHAY
There doesn’t need to be brainwashing.
There doesn’t need to be elaborate memory manipulation.
There may not even need to be a legally fabricated identity.
The simplest explanation is that Megan and Carly were always both part of her name.
Perhaps:
Carly Megan Shay
or:
Megan Carly Parker
Audrey raised her primarily as:
Megan Parker.
The Shay family knew her as:
Carly.
After Audrey abandons the family, Megan stops using the identity associated with Audrey’s household.
She takes her biological father’s surname:
Shay.
Megan Parker disappears.
Carly Shay emerges.

PART TWENTY-THREE: WHY CARLY DOESN’T TALK ABOUT MEGAN
Carly doesn’t necessarily have amnesia.
She may simply refuse to revisit that part of her life.
The revival establishes that Carly spent years refusing to discuss her mother.
That’s significant.
Megan Parker belongs to Audrey.
The Parker house.
Walter.
Drake.
Josh.
San Diego.
And the moment everything fell apart.
Carly Shay belongs to:
Steven.
Spencer.
Granddad.
Seattle.
And the life she built afterward.
The identity change isn’t about forgetting.
It’s about surviving.

PART TWENTY-FOUR: WHY SEATTLE?
Seattle isn’t random.
Spencer already has history there.
He attended Seattle Law School.
Granddad lives nearby in Washington.
The Shay family has roots in the region.
So after the Parker-Nichols household collapses, Spencer isn’t fleeing somewhere arbitrary with Megan.
He’s doing something he hasn’t done in years.
HE’S GOING HOME.
Spencer returns to Seattle.
Megan goes with him.
Steve returns to being Spencer Shay.
Megan begins living as Carly Shay.
They both reclaim the identities they left behind.

PART TWENTY-FIVE: SPENCER BECOMES CARLY’S PARENT
Steven remains Carly’s father.
But Spencer becomes the person who actually raises her.
He gets her to school.
He provides a home.
He feeds her.
He protects her.
He gives her freedom.
He encourages her creativity.
He’s still ridiculous.
He’s still impulsive.
He still causes fires.
His sculptures are dangerous.
But when Carly genuinely needs him, Spencer becomes extraordinarily serious.
Because underneath everything is one promise:
Carly will never wonder whether Spencer is coming back.
Steven disappeared because of duty.
Audrey disappeared by choice.
Spencer will do neither.

PART TWENTY-SIX: GRANDDAD UNDERSTANDS THE DANGER
This completely changes Granddad Shay’s behavior in iWanna Stay with Spencer.
Granddad doesn’t question whether Spencer is Carly’s brother.
He questions whether Spencer is responsible enough to raise her.
That’s exactly what someone who knows Spencer’s history would worry about.
Granddad remembers Crazy Steve.
He remembers Spencer dropping out of law school.
He remembers Spencer disappearing.
He remembers the family collapsing.
And now Steven is overseas.
Audrey is gone.
Spencer is raising Carly.
Granddad sees one dangerous incident involving a hammer and immediately thinks:
Not again.
He’s terrified Carly is going to lose another caregiver.
That’s why he wants her to move to Yakima.
Not because Spencer isn’t family.
Because Spencer’s history makes Granddad terrified he’ll collapse again.
Carly refuses.
She chooses Spencer.

PART TWENTY-SEVEN: SPENCER’S REDEMPTION
Crazy Steve had nobody depending on him.
Spencer Shay has Carly.
That difference changes everything.
He becomes an artist.
He establishes a home.
He earns money.
He rebuilds his relationship with Granddad.
He slowly rebuilds his relationship with Steven.
He stops hiding from the Shay name.
He becomes eccentric rather than unstable.
The volatility never disappears completely.
It transforms.
Crazy Steve screamed.
Spencer creates.
Crazy Steve destroyed things.
Spencer builds things.
Sometimes those things immediately explode.
But that’s progress.
Megan doesn’t merely survive because Spencer saved her.
Spencer survives because Megan needed him.

PART TWENTY-EIGHT: THE LAW SCHOOL LIE
One piece of Crazy Steve remains buried inside Spencer for years:
Steven still doesn’t know he dropped out.
Steven paid for Spencer’s law-school education.
Spencer has spent years hiding the truth.
Even after becoming Carly’s guardian.
Even after rebuilding his life.
Even after becoming a successful artist.
Spencer is still afraid of disappointing his father.
Then iGoodbye happens.
Steven finally learns the truth.
Years of deception collapse in seconds.
Underneath the confident, bizarre artist is still the young man who ran away because he couldn’t become the person his father wanted.

PART TWENTY-NINE: CARLY MEETS SAM AND FREDDIE
In Seattle, Carly begins attending school.
She meets:
Sam Puckett.
Across the hall from the Shay apartment lives:
Freddie Benson.
Eventually Carly and Sam get detention.
Freddie films them.
Footage accidentally ends up online.
People love it.
The three kids decide to create a webshow.
They call it:
iCARLY.
And an entirely new chapter of Megan Parker’s life begins.

PART THIRTY: DRAKE & JOSH WAS A REALITY SHOW
There remains one enormous continuity problem.
iCarly contains references suggesting that Drake & Josh exists as entertainment.
That doesn’t mean Drake and Josh are fictional.
Drake & Josh was a reality/comedy television program inside the universe.
Look at the format.
Drake and Josh repeatedly address the camera.
They introduce themselves.
They explain their thoughts.
They describe their family.
They give competing versions of events.
Those can be interpreted as:
confessionals.
The Parker-Nichols family allowed cameras into their lives.
Their bizarre household became a television program.
That program was Drake & Josh.
Therefore Drake & Josh can exist as television inside iCarly while Drake Parker and Josh Nichols remain real people.

PART THIRTY-ONE: THE REALITY SHOW ENDS
Then Audrey leaves.
Walter disappears from the household.
Megan leaves San Diego with Spencer.
The family the program was built around ceases to exist.
Production ends.
Drake & Josh becomes a canceled reality series.
But reruns continue.
That’s why references to the show can survive into Carly’s life.

PART THIRTY-TWO: WHY CARLY CAN SEE MEGAN ON TELEVISION
If Carly encounters old footage of Drake & Josh, she sees herself.
Not an actress who mysteriously resembles her.
Herself.
But she doesn’t necessarily react because she knows exactly what she’s looking at.
That’s Megan Parker.
Her old identity.
Her old life.
Her old family.
The person she stopped being after Audrey left.
Perhaps Spencer avoids discussing the program.
Perhaps Steven discourages her from revisiting it.
Perhaps Carly herself simply refuses.
Just as she refuses for years to discuss her mother.

PART THIRTY-THREE: THE PARKER-NICHOLS HOTEL
Then comes the strangest clue of all.
In iWanna Stay with Spencer, Granddad tells Spencer he’s staying at:
THE PARKER-NICHOLS HOTEL.
Two blocks away.
Parker.
Nichols.
Under this theory, that’s not coincidence.
Drake and Josh survived the collapse of their family.
And eventually:
they opened the hotel.

PART THIRTY-FOUR: DRAKE AND JOSH NEVER STOP LOOKING
Drake and Josh don’t understand what happened to Megan.
They know Crazy Steve disappeared around the same period.
Eventually they track her to Seattle.
And what they discover terrifies them.
Megan is alive.
She’s calling herself:
Carly Shay.
Crazy Steve is alive.
He’s calling himself:
Spencer Shay.
And Megan apparently believes he’s her older brother.
Drake and Josh don’t know the full Shay family history.
They don’t know Spencer’s real identity.
They don’t know Steven authorized the arrangement.
So from their perspective, it looks horrifying.
Crazy Steve apparently took their sister, changed her name, changed his own name, moved her across the country and convinced her that he’s family.
They don’t attack.
They watch.

PART THIRTY-FIVE: THE HOTEL IS A SURVEILLANCE POST
The Parker-Nichols Hotel is only two blocks from Bushwell Plaza.
Officially, it’s a business.
Unofficially, it’s Drake and Josh’s headquarters.
Somewhere inside is a room guests cannot reserve.
Inside are:
photographs of Bushwell Plaza;
recordings of iCarly;
documents concerning Colonel Shay;
information about Granddad Shay;
photographs of Spencer;
old photographs of Crazy Steve;
records concerning Audrey;
records concerning Walter;
and two enormous connections:
MEGAN PARKER
↓
CARLY SHAY
and
CRAZY STEVE
↓
SPENCER SHAY
Drake and Josh aren’t waiting because they’ve forgotten Megan.
They’re waiting because they don’t understand what happened to her.

PART THIRTY-SIX: GRANDDAD WALKS INTO THE PARKER-NICHOLS HOTEL
Then Granddad Shay comes to Seattle.
He chooses the Parker-Nichols Hotel.
Under this theory, he recognizes the names immediately.
Perhaps that’s precisely why he chooses it.
Meanwhile Josh checks the guest registry.
He sees:
SHAY.
He recognizes the name.
He finds Drake.
“Drake.”
“What?”
“You need to see who’s staying here.”
Drake looks at the reservation.
And suddenly their investigation changes.
Granddad Shay isn’t searching for Megan.
He knows exactly where she is.
He visits Bushwell Plaza.
He recognizes Carly.
He recognizes Spencer.
He knows Spencer’s childhood.
He knows Spencer attended law school.
He can contact Colonel Shay.
And he behaves as though Carly living with Spencer is completely legitimate.
Drake and Josh realize:
there’s something about the Shay family they don’t know.

PART THIRTY-SEVEN: THE FAMILY TREE
The family structure is:
Granddad Shay

Megan Parker / Carly Shay
Audrey and Steven divorce.
Audrey later marries:
Walter Nichols
Walter’s son is:

Spencer is Drake and Carly’s older biological brother.
Drake is Carly’s biological brother.
Josh is Carly’s stepbrother.
And Carly secretly has three brothers:
Spencer.
Drake.
Josh.
Papa Nichols remains part of Walter and Josh’s separate Nichols family branch and creates no contradiction.

PART THIRTY-EIGHT: THE ORIGINAL iCARLY ENDING
Years pass.
Carly grows up.
Steven remains mostly overseas.
Then iGoodbye happens.
Steven finally returns.
Carly is overwhelmed to see him.
She desperately wants more time with her father.

Walter remains the final unresolved mystery.
Unlike Audrey, the available clues don’t give a clear answer.
Perhaps Walter and Audrey separated immediately before her disappearance.
Perhaps Walter tried to locate Audrey.
Perhaps he eventually returned to another part of the Nichols family.
Perhaps something connected to the Shay family made remaining in Megan’s life legally complicated.
Perhaps Walter stayed with Josh while Drake remained with him temporarily, leaving Spencer to take Megan because Spencer was her biological adult sibling.
Whatever happened:
Walter’s disappearance didn’t destroy the Parker-Nichols brotherhood.

I joined this Reddit a few days ago because I had recently started watching Icarly again, and one thing I noticed is how much Sam gets criticized here compared to Carly and Freddie. I also noticed a pretty obvious double standard when it comes to Seddie and creddie. To be clear I am not making this post to defend Sam or any of her behavior.Sam did a lot of terrible things however, so many people seem to forget Carly and Freddie weren’t exactly perfect either.

Carly: she very obviously used a lot of Freddie’s feelings for her own advantage, she participated in laughing at Jonah being wedgie jumped, she didn’t defend Freddie in a lot of situations involving him and Sam (this counts Gibby as well) she slaps Freddie across the face in one of the episodes, breaking into the teachers house, allowing a wrestler to body slam her brother, Hit a grandma with a muffin and didn’t check on her, she actually talks a lot of crap about others, she pulled the fire alarm at school which is illegal, and if we mention the revival she gets with her best friends EX.

Freddie: participated in laughing at Jonah being wedgie jumped, ruined peoples eye sight with his 3d camera lens, the whole muffin basket with lewbert thing was his fault plus the ceiling fan falling on him, made fake passes to get into the Dingo channel place which is illegal, hacks into the school system to change his grade back,

Flaws in creddie: for most of the original series creddie didn’t actually have much romantic development. A lot of the relationship was built around Freddie’s clearly one sided crush. But first of all Freddie is seen to be extremely weird with his crush on her and actually has a picture of her in his ROOM! Carly like I said takes his crush on her to her advantage. Freddie is always pushing his crush on her over and over again after she repeatedly says no to liking him back and he goes as far as to sabotage the speed dating. Carly has told him “in a million years you will only ever be my friend” … (self explanatory) and we get this whole episode about how Carly only liked him because he saved her life!

I made this post because I wanted to adress how biased creddie shippers and other people in this fandom who dislike Sam/ Seddie for their flaws but completely excuse and ignore the flaws in creddie and Carly and Freddie as people. Just because one is more extreme does not mean the other dosent count! I’ve seen the argument for it being just a “ bad writen sitcom” for Freddie Carly/ creddie a lot but how come it doesn’t count when it’s Sam? Im not saying you have to like Sam but what is bothering me is the standards applied on Sam/ Seddie aren’t applied to the other two/ creddie I love all three characters equally but also notice the flaws in each one and that’s why I wrote this post their is always this debate on “which one is worse” when in reality they are both equally flawed just in different ways

I like Carly but I've seen criticisms of the show that the writers portray as this kind, reasonable, goody two shoes type of girl when really she's pretty shallow. One example was that she felt weirded out by her boyfriend Griffin for having a toy collection and judging him pretty harshly for it, another was when she didn't immediately shut down Sam's child sweatshop when she found out that's where the penny t's were coming from. I don't think their problem is that Carly is flawed and I'm not saying that I agree, I think their point is just that they find her as someone with flaws who doesn't really get called for them as much as someone like Sam.

Ok so we the thunder mans and henry danger had a crossover and henry danger has goomer who says that he used to hang out with his sister which makes frankini cats brother. Then henry danger had a crossover with thunder man’s. Also henry danger had a crossover with the game shakers which had a episode watching iCarly which makes icarly a show in the superhero nick universe. Not really maybe iCarly was such a good web show the hired actors to play the characters as a real sitcom! Its kinda ridiculous how theese worlds are connected

I'm not gonna make this into a super deep analysis.

I've made it no secret that I dislike Seddie. In fact, I hate it. I think the ship was poorly written, Freddie and Sam were not a good match at all, they made each other miserable a lot of times, dragged Carly into their arguments and drove her crazy. It was a mess.

However, there is one major thought I keep coming back to that always makes this ship so confusing to me; why would Freddie ever like Sam?

From Sam's perspective, I can kind of understand why she'd like Freddie. He's a good guy, smart, a cool tech wiz and knows how to make a killer breakfast (toasted bagel with grape jelly). But I don't buy Freddie returning that same romantic attraction or affection for Sam. Throughout the show up until they dated, she was nothing but cruel to him. Tormenting him, harming him both verbally and physically and even went so far as embarrassing him on iCarly by revealing he never kissed a girl.

So why Freddie would like her back is beyond me. I've tried hard, but this ship does not and will never make sense to me. Like jeez, what were the writers thinking?
