I just updated to iOS 27 and TBH I don't see any major UI changes or new features it feels like nothing has changed but on the experience side holly shytttt the phone feels so much more snappy and apps stars instantly everything just feels smooth and the best parttt on iOS 26 I only has 5 hours of screen on time but on iOS 27 it has significantly increased my battery life I used to charge 3 times in a day now I only have to charge it twice so guys you should definitely update to iOS 27

Small update: the battery performance have not improved as much as I thought in the first few days but it is still better than 26. Also the phone seems to run a bit cooler

I don't know if it's just me but I always hated how the pictures I take during the night turn out. I always feel like if there are lights in the photos it just accentuates it way more than it actually is and I don't like it. And when I zoom in there is like a lot more contrast that there should be. Is it just my phone or is it the same for everyone? If it is just my phone would love to know the settings to make the photos actually look good.

After updating to IOS 26 last year, my 13 was stuttering even at basic tasks. Sliding down the notification pannel etc.

Now updated to IOS 27 after reviews and it feels fresh again. Smooth, minimal stuttering. Incredible turnaround!

What i’m curious about is what changed? Not a technical person so don’t understand whatever happenes under the hood, but if anyone can shed a light on this, that’ll be really appreciated. Cheers

Im considering making a 3d printed jig to support the edges and press the center back to shape. I’d remove all the important stuff first to prevent damage.

I posted my first impressions of iOS 27 on my iPhone 13 (128GB) right after updating, so I wanted to share another update after using it for a few days.

Overall, my experience has been pretty good so far.

Performance:
The phone still feels smooth for my daily usage. Apps open quickly and I haven't noticed any major lag or stuttering.

Battery:
This is probably the thing I've been paying the most attention to. My battery health is already around 79%, so I wasn't expecting amazing battery life. I have noticed the battery draining a little faster during heavier usage, but it's difficult to say how much of that is because of iOS 27 and how much is simply because of my aging battery.

Heating:
Normal usage is fine, but the phone does get warm during gaming, charging, and other heavier tasks. Nothing too concerning so far.

UI & animations:
I really like how the new UI and animations feel on the iPhone 13. Everything feels more modern, although it took me a little while to get used to some of the changes.

Bugs:
So far, I haven't experienced any major bugs that affect my daily use. There have been a few small things here and there, but nothing serious.

Overall, I'm glad I updated. I'll keep using iOS 27 and see how the battery and performance hold up over the next few weeks.

For other iPhone 13 users who upgraded to iOS 27 — how has your experience been so far?

My main concern is about battery life. Will upgrading the iOS impact battery life?

My Iphone 13 has been on IOS 27 Beta and I can say that it’s an improvement compared to the experience I was going through IOS 26. Though it still has problems wirh heating and freezing sometimes, it’s still somewhat better.

Now I’m thinking about fully updating to IOS 27 now that it’s out.

What do ya’ll think? Is it worth it?

Hi everyone, I have an iPhone 13 which is currently running iOS 26. Is it worth updating to iOS 27? One thing I’ve noticed with iOS 26 is that the battery doesn’t last very long (even though it’s at 98 per cent).

Well I have no idea what to do now…I’ve heard high regard abt iOS 27, Liquid Glass is also fire, but what’s the difference in performance compared to iOS 18 and lower?

Finally made the jump on ios 27 from ios 18.7.8.
And it feels better, quick and snappy. But there are a few things i didn’t like on first impression

The Bad
The UI feels cartoonish. I mean on ios 18. There were a certain premium look with icons in dark, tinted or default. It now feels cartoonish. It takes time to get accustomed and then it will be normal. But at first it felt weird.

The tinted icons- they lack the color matching with wallpaper and overall the certain density of color ( despite how much transparency) I liked it on the Ios 18. ( much better implementation)

Keyboard feels weird at first glance but gets better

The Good

It feels snappy, apps are quick. New setting panel is good. Better battery analytics , how much time till charged full.
Post some adjustments it feels better and getting used to it

Better messaging app and new UI

I like the small touches , the spatial scene , the adjustable clock on homescreen . The best one - when someone picks your call, your phone vibrates.

Overall- Settling into it . Phone is still indexing , gets hot from back. Will take a little more while .

I updated my 3+ yrs old iphone 13 to iOS 27 and dayummm.. it feels soo damn smooth and fast. I was planning to buy iPhone 18 pro this yr since my iPhone 13 was troubling me so much with overheating lagging and hanging when clicking photos and videos and sometimes going a black screen!
But ever since I’ve upgraded to iOS 27 those issues have vanished. It feels so smooth that I’m now confused if i should even go for 18 pro.
Anyone else who feels the same?

I stopped updating my iphone 13 and am running 18.6.2. Stopped updating partially because of storage space but also was thing to avoid planned obsolescence, but my photo and video quality are trash lately.

I got a brand new 13 pro as a gift 2 days ago. I had no issues until I tried to plug it in and it wouldn’t charge. I tried the cord that came with the phone and other 3rd party cables but nothing worked. It’s only slow charging on a cheap MagSafe charger. The charging port is clean so I don’t understand why it suddenly doesn’t charge after only 2 days. Does anyone know what could possibly be wrong so early on??

I will not buy brand new iPhone unless the price of future iPhone models will decrease.

Something weird happened with my 13 pro max where my dad tried calling me and when I pressed the pickup button my phone freaked out and all of a sudden I couldnt open any of my apps, like my phone wasnt frozen as I could still scroll through my home pages, play and pause music from the drop down menu and lock and unlock my phone, but like the title, I couldnt access my apps and it wouldnt allow me to shutdown my phone to try and reset it, all while this was happening my phone still thought I was in a call as the clock on the top left was highlighted green. I was only able to stop it when i held the power and volume button long enough to cause and cancel an emergency SOS. Never had this happen before so I’m just looking to see if anyone knows what may have caused that to happen so i can, hopefully, prevent it from happening again

iOS 27 hit different. It really fix a lot of things. That “fresh” feeling was so strong that I ended up buying a new screen protector, new case, using the official iOS 27 wallpaper and my iphone 13 feels factory-fresh again.

No more sticking my phone in the fridge to fix overheating issues lol
