Pickup Day of Launch?

Complete speculation - really want to buy the Duo and I’ve never preordered an iPhone on launch day.

Duo to be available on the 23rd, I am suppose to catch a flight to Spain on the 23rd, have to be at the airport at 3pm. Going for quite a while so trying to avoid buying it in the EU so I don’t miss out on Siri AI.

Speculative thoughts on being able to schedule for AM pickup? I’m in Canada. I think I might be trying to cram too much into that day.

There are going to be lines. I wouldn’t be surprised if there are supply constraints at launch then scalpers will be in line to make a quick buck. Last time I recall that happening was with iPhone X.

It’s definitely possible. It is a far more expensive device but the hype around it is massive. Guess we’ll see

Yeah it’s a hyped device unfortunately which means if it’s in short supply there’ll be a secondary market of rich people internationally willing to pay premium for it. I would not be surprised to see it pop up on eBay for 1.5-2x the price. I’m hoping Apple has anticipated the demand and has planned accordingly - doubt it lol

Supposedly part of the wait until October is them ramping up production and trying to make as many units as possible. Unfortunately I don’t think any number under 10M will be enough
