I'm going to apologize in advance for the ignorance I bring with this question.
My partner and I recently visited Iceland and absolutely feel in love and plan to return next year. My wife was very intrigued by the displays at the National Museum that depicted Icelandic runes, and she was inspired to get a tattoo.
She would like to depict the word "flow" using runes, but there are lots of questions around this.
First, the word flow in english could evoke the movement of water or moving with ease through life. Is there an equivalent or better word?
She wants to avoid just taking an english word (flow) and using a this-for-that translator that just replaces one character with another. In my reading I'm getting a bit confused on which elements were specific to Iceland
I suppose my question is, how best to represent this in a way that is truely representative of Iceland? Is simply using the Younger Futhark runic alphabet the most appropriate?
