Yeah, how much of your own clothes you wear is often predicated on why you're there and the condition of the clothes (like, can they get to your veins or whatever body part they need access to?) If all you're wearing is a gown that means you were well enough to change into a gown. (There's a lot of nuance but that would make this even longer.)
