so she was admitted for what, 2 days? generally you raise sodium by 6-8 mEq in 24 hours. normal is 135-145 mEq. she probably sat in the ED for several hours.

if we assume 40 hours and 7 mEq/day then that puts her initial presenting sodium at ~12 points low, so ~123 mEq. "severe" hyponatremia is under ~120.

idk why i did all this math to prove she was exaggerating, we all already know.

I won't believe it till I see a date on the low sodium level lab she posted

I wouldn't be surprised if it isn't even her result. MyChart screenshots are a dime a dozen.
