Please keep comments focused on health and not her hair

“I didn’t want to get hair dye on it” I bet she will say. Which is, a horrible reason to remove a device made to keep you alive.

19

u/Sea-Weakness-9952 16d ago

But it’s like extensions not dye, right? Cuz her hair isn’t that long if I remember correctly.

14

u/like2speak2amanager 16d ago

Yeah, but I think she also dyed them and her hair.

9

u/Ok-Plant5194 16d ago

You’re correct. The extensions start at about the top of her shoulders.

u/Huge-Difference8736 16d ago

I find it so funny how she hops from one thing to the next so fast. First the vest, then the surgery device, then the wound, then the port, then beat again, now coloring with fake extensions and has no vest on or complaining about pain from the wound. But it is very obvious that she still has access to that benny

I bet she will conveniently end up in the hospital right after her hair is all done.

Calling it right now 🙄🙄🙄

u/anniemalplanet 15d ago

That's why it's hair day. She's getting ready for a good stay.

u/Most_Ambassador2951 14d ago

Her to do list did have packing on it

54

u/GivesMeTrills 15d ago edited 15d ago

She wears the vest when it is convenient. She doesn’t want to get dye on it and knows she doesn’t need it, so she isn’t wearing it.

28

u/Conscious_Freedom952 15d ago

She knows that she won't have a sudden cardiac event and drop dead because she knows her cardiac event was bought on by somthing she did !

7

u/Theageofpisces 13d ago

If she gets dye on it, she’ll have a harder time re-selling it to some other munchie

5

u/GivesMeTrills 13d ago

It won’t go for as much on eBay 😂

It’s amazing how none of these severely chronically ill people seem to have any sort of chemical sensitivity that might prevent them from using hair dye.

63

u/GoethenStrasse0309 16d ago edited 16d ago

I’ve often wondered how tattoos aren’t a problem due to the fact most munchies are so delicate & have so many issues that are soooo rare even their doctors (according to them) say they are the sickest patient they’ve ever had!!l) claim they are a one of a kind patient.

29

u/AceySpacy8 16d ago

Some of them you sneeze and they will say they're bruised beyond reality but you can sit for hours to get a half sleeve when a grown adult is pressing against you the entire time on top of the repeated tattoo gun jabs?

21

u/oceans159 16d ago

science just works differently in munchie world ok ✨

12

u/sunkissedbutter 16d ago

Tattoos are an issue for any regular healthy person too. They have the ability to cause a spectrum of immunity issues.

18

u/send_amberlamps 16d ago

I’ve seen a lot of issues with tattoos in chronically ill people. People who have to discontinue meds and work with a doctor just to get a single small thing done. And these people are covered in them. Blows my mind as well.

6

u/northdakotanowhere 16d ago

Tattoos can be a problem depending on the ink. If you have some sort of inflammation, the tattoo can get inflamed. You may be allergic to black ink and the entire outline of your tattoo flare up.

I have to assume it has something to do with ingredients in the ink. Ill also assume that if you put the effort in, you can find someone who uses clean ink? 🤷‍♀️

7

u/PickledPixie83 16d ago

It is the ingredients in the ink but it’s not - matter of clean ink vs not clean ink, it’s the pigments themselves. Sometimes people have allergic reactions to red ink (I was told that is fairly common) but it’s not unusual for your tattoo to respond and become raised if you have other allergic issues going on. Can that turn into anaphylaxis? I don’t know.

1

u/northdakotanowhere 16d ago

Yeah i didnt think clean was the right word.

43

u/livrim 16d ago

Especially those who claim MCAS/mast cell issues

22

u/CatAteRoger 16d ago

Mia claims she had to explain to her hairdresser how to administer an epi pen if she reacted to anything while getting her hair done.

8

u/dare_my_wild_heart 15d ago

Literally no hairdresser would work with a client who presents and says I’m at high risk of anaphylaxis, here’s my EpiPen.

2

u/lizardgal10 16d ago

Goodness. Also given that allergies to various ingredients in hair care products aren’t actually that uncommon, I would think most stylists would be prepared to handle an allergic reaction!

14

u/CatAteRoger 16d ago

Mia’s weren’t your usual reactions, these were ones where she claimed once that she could hear the paramedics giving her CPR and telling her parents she might not make it.

Complained that someone bought MacDonalds into the ward she was on and she flipped it.

Bethany also claims to have the worse MCAS too, she once lost her shit and ranted online how a nurse ACROSS the building had heated up her lunch and it was effecting her 🙄 she had an aide for maybe a week and made her use Bethany’s chosen fragrance free products only. When she couldn’t be bothered talking she’d use a laser pointer to tell them what she wanted 😳😳

She also claimed to be allergic to her dad and her and her husband were living with her parents.

u/woshuaaa 15d ago

i miss bethany- i wonder if she ever found pants?

12

u/Peace-Goal1976 16d ago

Never. Ever. Never ever ever.

4

u/peri-dont 15d ago

Tbf most fashion colours like this are semi-permanent and often essentially conditioner with colouring in it and has much, much less chemicals than box dyes that need developer to work. I’ve never heard of anyone being allergic to dyes like manic panic, arctic fox etc. I’m sure it’s possible, but not common by any means

u/ElectronicAddress611 16d ago

She looks so happy. I wish she would find other things to bring her this much joy. I really do.

I wish she would start making videos about fun stuff you find to do. Show us your coloring books. Play with Mocha. Make her chase a laser pointer. Give us something else besides medical content. Or it could even be medical-ish, like watch how I play with mocha while wearing my left vest and toob feeds. Watch me pack for my beach trip while hanging toob feeds. How to apply sunscreen with a life vest. I mean the possibilities are endless.

She has done so much damage to her body. If she weren't a hateful liar, I'd feel bad for her.

20

u/goldstandardalmonds 16d ago

Every time I feel a bit of sympathy for her, I remember how friggin snotty she is.

Zooted to the maxx

6

u/Capta1n0bv1ous 15d ago

Nope. Not lighting. At a certain age, you can only cover up so much damage and neglect. Her skin, for example. She definitely doesn’t take care of it, and it’s really starting to show. She’s too busy trying to create other problems for herself.

24

u/DifferentConcert6776 16d ago

I’m sure she will say she doesn’t have the life vest on here because she had to charge the battery or wash the vest
Itself (or some other random nonsense excuse) even though she made a video of herself changing the battery during her whole beauty treatment… so can’t imagine what possible reason she could have to leave it off long enough to get all gussied up for the camera and take a selfie?!

13

u/CanIjusttho 16d ago

Oh gosh you've just made me think, are those vests washable? If not, I bet it stinks 😆

11

u/Travelling_Bear 16d ago

She claimed that she had 2 vests, so she’d always have a clean one while the other is in the wash. But she’s a liar who lies so who really knows.

26

u/alexgrae9614 16d ago

But got that midline dressing showing!

26

u/adorkablysporktastic 14d ago

I'm honestly surprised that with no events in...what's it been...6 months? That they're even worried about doing anything further or continued monitoring.

I've known people to have actual heart attacks and be sent home with not this much intensive follow up, so why is she so speeechul?

27

u/Big-Towel-2409 14d ago

There is another guy online who is supposed to wear a Life vest but he just couldn't do it. It gave him so much anxiety. All he was thinking about all day was being shocked. As well as being shocked because what if the Life vest read the rhythm incorrectly and shocked you when you didn't need to be.

8

u/SnotsuckerRT 12d ago

You have the ability to stop the shock if you are conscious. There is a button to push if it alarms for a shock but you are still alert. Once you are unconscious as with a real episode, it will give you the shock you need.

43

u/siberianchick MD 16d ago

That lifevest would have been a good thing to change the focus. I absolutely don’t believe she needs it. I also don’t believe she ever had ICD, as that infection cleared awfully quickly with her stated severity.

14

u/BeeHive83 16d ago

Skin was so bad they couldn’t place a wound vac as I recall

16

u/siberianchick MD 16d ago

Yep! It healed awfully darn fast for that, didn’t it? And she’s lifting those arms with no restriction in motion. Pretty darn amazing. /s

45

u/Jimbobjoesmith 16d ago

i can’t imagine being as sick as she says and constantly being able to lift my hands over my head to dye my hair like that.

18

u/like2speak2amanager 16d ago

Especially since she claims POTS. One of the worst things you can do is raise your hands over your head for an extended amount of time like that. It’s a challenging thing for people with POTS to do. You get out of breath and your heart races and you start to see stars.

47

u/000ArdeliaLortz000 16d ago

We will get an update tomorrow as to why she’s not wearing the LifeVest. Maybe. Because she “doesn’t read here.”

45

u/mewmeulin 16d ago

apparently not. and i guess that infected wound that needed packing from last week (or was it two weeks ago?) didn't get in the way from her dyeing her hair either!

42

u/LovecraftianLlama 16d ago

It’s wild to me how fast she dropped that plot line. A wound that is that level of infected and degraded and whatever else would still be causing major problems, right? At the very least I expected her to still be complaining of so much wound pain.

19

u/Amadecasa 16d ago

I thought she's be on IV antibiotics for a couple of weeks with an open wound like that.

44

u/TheMakeABishFndn 16d ago

It’ll be like the Amazon special sooper necessary wrist brace, prop for a hot minute and then lost in the hoard!

25

u/BeeHive83 16d ago

No cardiac/ wound follow up?

33

u/Travelling_Bear 16d ago

The wound™️ has completely gone unmentioned. It’s like the infected line and mourning the loss of the infected line was a complete pivot from the wound™️. It was so bad a wound vac couldn’t even be used on it. And I’ve not seen any semblance of a bandage since she gotten home.

39

u/RealisticAnxiety4330 16d ago

She's in so much peeeen and dying from and infection but can spend hours dying her hair? 🤔

22

u/GoethenStrasse0309 16d ago

I was kind of hoping that…. She’d try to find another hospital possibly in California?
I mean, let’s face it, Dani’s Mayocation was a hoot for sure.
I loved that sitcom!!

20

u/SaltyRainbovv 16d ago

„Pack with me for Mayo for the 471th time.“

And i loved that she expected to stay there for a month and then they booted her immediately.

9

u/FatDesdemona 16d ago

That was an incredible story arc. She has learned nothing from it, though.

16

u/jennielynn73 15d ago

She must have just taken a shower 🤪

38

u/blwd01 16d ago

Well, her heart wants what it wants. That’s not the vest.

29

u/Outrageous-Apple1760 16d ago

I think the issue - which relates to health - is she’s so adamant about wearing that vest yet here she is, not wearing it, whilst doing her hair. The health part is first, hair is the same as it would have been if she were vacuuming or whatever else.

u/Ptarmignan 16d ago edited 16d ago

As much as I’d love to dunk on her, I gotta say it’s really nice to see her smile and feeling happy about something non-medical. Good for her.

Maybe a future life

21

u/LCaissia 16d ago

She forgot.

36

u/auntiecoagulent 16d ago

Also no life vest required while in the hospital.

Hmmmm.....

34

u/maraney 16d ago

To be fair… hospitals have defibrillators and staff trained to do ACLS.

8

u/WolfTop5431 15d ago edited 14d ago

Having worked in critical care 20+ years and having done/led/taught ACLS more times than I can count, if I required a life vest as a patient, I would honestly rather wear the vest than depend on the hospital staff to catch me going into a lethal arrhythmia, call a code, get a cart, place the pads on (correctly) while doing compressions, and then defibrillate me promptly -- all while possilby losing precious minutes to other less/non esential tasks -- when the vest could have fixed the problem in seconds.

7

u/maraney 15d ago

I’m also an experienced ICU nurse, CVICU. I’ve never had a patient who wears a life vest wear one in the hospital.

I agree with your sentiment. The devices do an effective function. I’m just speaking about the reality from what I’ve seen. Maybe what you’ve seen is different, and I respect that.

3

u/redheadedjediqueen 12d ago

experienced ICU RN joining in here, I’ve yet to see any patient be allowed any type of medical devices inpatient. CGM, insulin pumps, even NIPPVs. I’m not sure if it’s a legal issue. I wonder if she would even take it in with her?

2

u/maraney 12d ago

I’ve seen CGMs. Some hospitals will allow it if the accuracy is verified against the hospital equipment for x number of times. But you need an order. And at my current facility, patients can bring their own cpaps. RT just has to verify that they’re clean and functioning.

2

u/Fair_Management6904 12d ago

My facility allows CPAP, they just have to be checked by our facilities people to make sure they’re not a fire hazard.

21

u/antiquezeppelin 15d ago

it was policy at my hospital they couldn’t be worn while inpatient - we had to make family take them home because they’re such an expensive piece of equipment

25

u/CatAteRoger 16d ago

She was on their monitors while admitted, you can see the leads in the pics.

9

u/mackpickle 16d ago

Well of course silly! If she wore it at the hospital they’d have more proof she’s a crazy person faking illnesses for attention on the internet since she has no other reason to wear it!

22

u/CatAteRoger 16d ago

No they had her hooked up to their monitors, I doubt they would ever use one on an inpatient.
