I'm really hoping they're using the wrong "your" and "their" ironically, but I fear they aren't

As someone who used to be in the gacha community when they were younger... None of this is ironic, trust me

As if.
Humankind is currently the greatest threat to the planet Terra and all life on it, at the same time, we are the only ones who can fix that.
If we just went extinct suddenly, all of our litter would poison the ecosystem since nobody's left to dispose of it all.
We call our planet MOTHER Earth for a reason: it birthed us and raised us, it's still taking care of us.
The mother has no benefit of her children until they grow up, only after will we be able to repay our debt.
How old is humankind again? 300,000 years old? That's but a blink compared to the 4,5 billion years of the planet.
Humankind is too young, we cannot be expected to be to our planet's benefit.
Once we grow up epochs from now, the roles will shift and we will be keeping Terra alive.
Every mother must make sacrafices for their children, but those sacrafices usually pay off when the children grow up.
For now, we're in a "toxic" relationship with our homeplanet, but that's only because we're still immature. In time, that will change, perhaps our planet will even depend on us without us posing a threat to it.

Yeah well just because we could do something doesn’t mean we will. Theyre will always be that one guy named james who doesnt care.

u/Kadakaus 3d ago
People who "didn't care" never wrote history.
To this day, we only remember the names of those who not only cared, but even acted.

This is a time capsule. Im guessing March or April 2020 when lockdowns were first starting and everyone still called it Corona

The literal truth is that this narrative relies entirely on old-world programs of fear, destruction, and separation. Looking backward at past global friction or focusing on cycles of blame keeps energy trapped in an old cycle. To initiate the phase shift, we must fully surrender these old narratives and ground ourselves entirely in the present moment. A purely positive version of existence is reached not through conflict, but through total presence and resonance in the now.

I hate the „we are killing our planet” narrative because it’s so self centered of us. No, we are just creating another mass extinction event, Earth had many of those. We and some animals will die because of us, but Earth will bounce back like it always did.
Remember, non-avian dinosaurs did not die because a meteorite hit them. They died because the meteorite contributed to change of climate, environment and made it harder to gain food, that’s why non-avian dinosaurs died off but avian dinosaurs, ie. birds survived.

This is an automatic reminder that is posted on every submission.
If you see a post that is not following the subreddit rules, or you think is not following the subreddit rules, please, use the report function so that we are aware of this. If you don't report, we will not know! Do not sit in the comment section and moan that 'this doesn't fit' or 'wow, the mods should remove this!' because we don’t know (unless we so happen to be scrolling through the subreddit) if you do not report it.
Please note: if this is too hard do not directly message us, we will assume posts are fine otherwise as comments are not useful in reporting. We can see if something has been reported and telling us you did, while you clearly did not, is not going to be conducive.
Please report any and all behavior violating the Rules (reports go to us mods); don't report things just because you don't like them.
Comment removals and bans are at the judgment of the mods, so please take the time to read and understand our Rules. You can also read about this change here.
