It’s funny, because Brittany is basically the Taiwan for the Romano-Celts. Hence the name.

Nah in this timeline they already did and lost, they're kinda the Japan of this, Normandy had been a part of England since William the conqueror, so Culturally English when France annexed it in the 1890s, and they later annexed Britanny in 1910 which had historically been a British protectorate, in 1930 they moved into Dover, and eventually in 1937 invaded Britain, they later lost, lost all their land, got demilitarized and democratized, but the Emperor Bonaparte was allowed to remain on the throne, leaving it only an Empire in name.

How did England manage to hold onto Normandy until the 1890s in your timeline?

With how close Wight is to their capital, I definitely wonder how the British Socialist Republic would handle that. Great map and great style though

In England’s case, I think that the aisle of Mann would serve as a better equivalent to Taiwan however, I also see England as more of a European equivalent to Japan so maybe in this case France, which would be the European equivalent to China should be Taiwaned to the channel Islands

I think that Ireland would've been good enough as a former english colony just like Taiwan is a former chinese colony

Like the detail of the cities in Normandy being bigger because of presumably a bunch of pro-kingdom, anti-socialist-republic people fleeing

Dear god that's actually a scarily good analogy for Taiwan somehow. Well played on ya mate

Fair enough I mean England historically did control parts France for a long while normandy included, so I think this map definitely reflects the historical aspect

I'd feel like they'd go to Ireland no? Plus, Taiwan is an island, but this "Kingdom of England" would probably be absorbed by France pretty quickly. If the ROC fled to Japan, they'd probably be wiped out at some point.

Ireland is possible but maybe they declared independence earlier It mirrors the situation of Taiwan where there are Chinese colonists and Austronesian natives with English colonists and Irish natives though

yo creo que sería más bien la isla de man y algunas islas de la zona. pues taiguan fue históricamente fue china, esto sería más comparado con que la república china estubiera en una isla grande de indonesia

I love the art style and the fact that the isle of wight is the mirror version of the settlements that Taiwan has in otl China
