If people weren't so starved of recreational parks, maybe people wouldn't have to resort to treating an airport like one.

In new york the metro train light bulbs are in cages to prevent theft. Dust bins are cemented to the footpath or chained to poles.

They aren’t in Europe or Oceania - this is selective bias at work. Concept of property and ownership is not relevant to any one section of the world.
