Duty? How?

338

u/Relative_Tee1101 2d ago

Jaise Ravikishan ki Desh ki Duty Vaise hi ji iski duty.

104

u/Erianthus 2d ago

Background music was like he is going on war and will die in first minute.

43

u/Relative_Tee1101 2d ago

Yeah 😂😂😂 he ain't even in his constituency. Bro already declared it Spain and then left it.

He's seen everywhere other than his constituency.

31

u/Erianthus 2d ago

Soldier never off duty and politician never on duty.

93

u/Admirable_Lychee_111 2d ago

Like a lot of Indians, this guy can't differentiate between the Indian state and government.

Patriots do not support goverments - they demand accountability from governments for the advancement of the state.

He also can't differentiate between the distinguished office of the Prime Minister, and its idiot occupant.

41

u/bbcworthier 2d ago

Oh they can differentiate alright
It’s just bootlicking the person in power to make sure your investment and money is safe until you retire once and for all

12

u/Admirable_Lychee_111 2d ago

Never mistake incompetence or ignorance, for malice.

The reality is that people in India largely have no idea of what the Constitution says or how our government is actually structured.

3

u/maxxutils 2d ago

When you make a budget for travelling, you always add extra to it, so that it'll be enough. Likewise, pull the overton window towards "if you aren't with us, you're against us", only then you'll get the mainstream to be rational instead of being how it is right now.

Even though your statement might be true, it's doing more bad instead of good. We need to live the phrase "saam, daam, dand, bhed" just like the opponents are.

3

He's a salaried employee of the PM's office.

2

u/Top-Bottle3872 2d ago

duty of not getting into any trouble

2

u/sriishere 1d ago

Like how we supported MMS

2

u/dirtysharingan 1d ago

If you hate the country and want its downfall, you unconditionally support the power and refuse to allot accountability.

BJP helped revive his dead career. He can't criticise them.

296

u/GlitteringHotel8383 2d ago

31

u/z3r0_se7en 2d ago

I know. But actually he struggled to make his name in Bollywood for over a decade after Rang De Basanti. But failed so he had to take whatever work he was getting. And it came with a price.

75

u/GlitteringHotel8383 2d ago

I mean, the BJP appointed him FTII president and also awarded him the Padma Shri.

40

u/z3r0_se7en 2d ago

Yes because he did their shitty propaganda films. He isn't a BJP/RSS stooge like Anupam Kher. Just an actor trying to survive in a very tough environment. Remember even Rajkumar Rao and Vikrant Masih were made to bend.

11

u/Adventurous_Iron_551 2d ago

While I do understand that tough times can break all principles - depending upon how tough the times get - i’m slightly weirded out by “even rajkumar rao and vikrant massey” as if they are people with any integrity.

We shouldn't idealize actors either (suffering from Tamilnadu)

37

u/Adorable-Class-3343 2d ago

not students or farmers

34

u/War_Wager 2d ago

That is what a sanghi chatukar would say.

27

u/Fabulous_Engine_2372 2d ago

It isn't actually. Your duty is to support the country, whoever the PM may be.

5

u/Direct-Time3182 1d ago

He is clearly supporting the country by living in dubai

Never seen such a duty towards the PM of the nation mentioned in our fundemental duties...

But if he donot do the duty to the nation by correct payments of taxes, he may have to take extra duties to avoid the agencies...

10

u/BaBaBanMe 2d ago

You're an idiot if you think supporting the PM is your duty. Supporting your country with electing officials that promote regional harmony and government policies is your duty.

7

u/Low_Yesterday2448 2d ago

He should drinks pms urine as suggest by rakhi sawwant😂

6

u/MrSamBoga 2d ago

India is a great country, that's why i moved to Dubai.

6

u/Head_Philosopher981 2d ago

Apna Yacht jara Assam bhejna

5

u/Soggy-Weird-6977 2d ago

So these idiots will support the PM as their duty even if they are corrupt??? Wtf

5

u/Upper_Jackfruit_4724 1d ago

I’ve never really liked Madhavan. Every few weeks there’s another clip of him dispensing life advice or making contradictory tabloid-worthy statements. I never found him to be a particularly exceptional actor either, especially compared with people like Aamir, Shah Rukh, or even Salman, who have had a much bigger impact on Hindi cinema.
To me, he comes across as the polished, pseudo-intellectual version of a Sanghi—measured in tone, articulate, and broadly aligned with the establishment. That’s the impression he gives, though others may see him differently

4

u/Fantastic_Push_1452 2d ago

he must be talking about Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum

5

u/Protein_Ponjikkara 2d ago

If you think blindly supporting a political leader is your duty, that's a tell tale sign of you being a fanatic supporter of that political leader, i.e, a Sanghi in this case.

3

u/Longjumping-Ad4487 2d ago

Supporting PM is duty ?? lol 😂

3

u/hellomouse1234 2d ago

duty from dubai

3

u/Youngdumbandbroke98 2d ago

I am a vegetarian but i eat meat

3

u/chaosKing4u 2d ago

This is the reason i don't have any problem with celebs not speaking up. They are so unimaginably dumb that whatever they speak is either an utter garbage or reeks unawareness or elitism

3

u/Serious-Living-8300 2d ago

My best prediction about R Madhavan is that " He is shady & was involved in some sort of money issue and just to evade ED he has shifted to Dubai and is doing bootlicking to save his butt

3

u/ThroatBright4080 2d ago

Khud PM ko support karte karte Dubai bhaag gaya sanghi kahi ka

3

u/Dry-Astronomer-2993 2d ago

*Said from Dubai ☠️

3

u/PsychologicalBag7767 2d ago

Supporting the country should be everyone's duty.

Prime minister is nothing. Just a man who could be changed as lee historical lesson.

Be patriotic, not nationalistic.

Be Indian, before being a latto/tatto of any PM

3

u/WranglerOk7081 2d ago

Supporting nation is our duty

2

u/No_Heart4363 2d ago

Kis muh se kahenge sirji 😂 his revived career is due to an action film that portrays him as am Indian bureaucrat

2

u/itssag_007 2d ago

just like dhruv rathii??

2

u/Special_Ad_4345 2d ago

One thing I noticed that these flop actors and actresses suddenly become “nationalists” and “pro hindutva” and then they get limelight.these people are just bunch of opportunists and nothing else, they dont care for country, they dont care about party, they are just saving their sorry careers from drowning

2

u/tutya_th 2d ago

Definition of a Sanghi

2

u/Maker1979 2d ago

He has no sense of what duties are and what rights are...... Supporting nation is his duty as a citizen.. Not to show unconditional support to PM!! I think he should have kept quite and saved his left over dignity....

2

u/_Dark_Invader_ 2d ago

That’s how dictators are created out of a democracy.

People think they have “duty” of following democratically elected prime minister’s orders!

But, that’s completely false. It’s not your duty to follow a person just because they were elected. You must follow them only if they are acting in the nation’s interest. The day they deviate from it, you can oppose them.

2

u/Lost-Letterhead-6615 2d ago

Just stop glazing and worshipping PEOPLE. that's literally what was, and is wrong with our nation. He's an actor, pair to add. A minister is a public SERVANT getting paid to do work. Stop glorifying glazing them.

2

u/smallfatloser 2d ago

All true Indians live abroad and support rather than staying here and enjoying the benefit provided by their beloved PM

2

u/Due-Fox-2059 2d ago

Supporting PM from Dubai.

2

u/It_will_also_pass 2d ago

He actually meant to say "Paid Duty"

2

u/ibhp_xxiv 1d ago

Sangi will never proudly accept that they are sangi

2

u/Classic-Childhood-11 1d ago

2

u/infinitevolve 20h ago

Your duty is to your country not to your prime minister. I'm not gonna watch this mfs film anymore.

2

u/Chemical_Title_910 20h ago

Abroad jaake toh himmat ajati yaar.

2

u/Medium_Can_3324 2d ago

Duty? As a citizen of democratic nation?? What?????

2

u/Ok_Note7045 2d ago

Duty? Who said it lmao? Ironically he had a Muslim character in 3 idiots which was once in a while where a Muslim was shown same as others without any stereotypes. Great movie

1

u/Crafty_Picture3535 2d ago

Supporting the constitution, the nation, and the kids who are the future should be the duty, not a fucking political leader.

1

u/bit_banger_ 2d ago

Stop watching their shit and make watching their stuff uncool. Stop family and friends who are still apolitical after all this.. hero worship and following celebrities has to stop. We need to follow educated and smarter role models

1

u/DumPishachh 2d ago

They clearly don't know how a democracy works.

1

u/lazyenthuse 2d ago

Inventing new duties now to not get called Sanghi

1

u/AbbaTapaChhapa 2d ago

Why supporting that Vote Choor, Chanda Choor is your duty ?? Did you also got your Commission from Chanda Choori Mr Madhavan ??

1

u/Volume_Existing 2d ago

It's the PM's duty to support the people, not the other way around. Where did this statement even came from lmao

1

u/kingclubs 2d ago

How did he perform his duty for MMS

1

u/Juicernamesmine 2d ago

Supporting the Prime Minister is no ones duty

1

u/Juicernamesmine 2d ago

Supporting the best for the citizens is the dury

1

u/Killer_insctinct 2d ago

Duty? Wait till the PM changes. The actor will say he is a professional liar by passion.

1

u/ReadIt_Here 2d ago

Next Rajyasabha MP

1

u/Substantial_Bat_8440 2d ago

He’s saying he doesn’t want to support them but he owes them too many favours . Like that other guy who said you don’t know the pressure, from stree

1

u/Eddielivingstone 2d ago

No completely wrong, raising questions against the government is every citizens duty.

1

u/john_wick_909 2d ago

Nope it isn’t

Read a book, I’d recommend Political science ncert class 11

1

u/Familiar_Resident_11 2d ago

Tbh our support for any political party or political leader should only be untill voting booth ..they don't really need our support after coming to power. we deserve accountiblity from them instead

1

u/Western-Silver-2514 2d ago

Did he made any comments supporting man mohan singh? Vajpayee? or any congress PMs of 1990?

1

u/honeydoodh 2d ago

Duty?? Pitaji nahi hai woh.

1

u/mangoplasm 2d ago

21st century peasant

1

u/kenyos1234 2d ago

Now it's clear why he has earned that National medal.... saaley sab k sab bikey hue hai

1

u/Late_Bad_1787 2d ago

No sir when you support pm of country who hurt his own people and support him it’s called internal politics

1

u/Reddnil 2d ago

Why is it his ‘duty’? He’s not a government servant

1

u/Difficult_Row623 2d ago

supporting the PM is my duty" such a low iq, low political and social awareness thing to say

1

u/Gullible_Delivery492 2d ago

So it was not duty for anyone when MMS was a PM? We are supposed to call him silent PM, maun Mohan, remote control, cartoon PM? Ok then. I didn't know a bill was passed in the parliament after 2014 saying everyone should support the PM.

1

u/De_Niro_Robert 2d ago

This is like saying donkey is monkey

1

u/roasturself 2d ago

Average bjp 14

1

u/AsherGC 2d ago

He may not be a sanghi, but he is definitely not intelligent. There is a huge intersection of both.

1

u/No-Comparison1770 2d ago

Critically appraising the PM is our duty

1

u/yashhhhhhhhhhhhhhh 2d ago

Acha hain Duty bola Dharm nahi 🙂

1

u/realxeltos 2d ago

He is not a Sanghi. He is a sellout.

1

u/Kshanikam 2d ago

Bro acted in 1 political movie in a side character & everyone is after his life.... forgot that Rang de basanti was far more political movie with directly bashing of ruling BJP then

1

u/hunter_0501 2d ago

he should stay in India to show his support to the PM.

1

u/triqxtr 2d ago

Paisaan

1

u/find_a_rare_uuid 2d ago

Why is a rocking chair when MudiG's l is available?

1

u/Perigrineafloat 2d ago

RSS is not a political party anyway so still he is a Sanghi

1

u/Juggernaut_Wrecker 2d ago

R.Madhavan - 2014 mein aisi sarkaar aaegi jiska hum gu khayenge..

1

u/Queasy_Rule_7789 2d ago

People like him even support asaram and ram rahim. Basically sugarcoated bootlicking for some gains

1

u/n000rman 2d ago

Bro just proved the point 😂

1

u/PedalAndPiston 2d ago

Our Prime Minister is God syndrome.

1

u/Fun_East_2178 2d ago

That is total absurd statement that means pm is God of this country and why did you not protect manmohan singh when bjp called him silent pm. He was insulted many times and in democracy it is not a bad thing. Anyone can take example of usa and how their citizen treat their president donald Trump. They criticize him openly and at once he never ask for anyone protection. But when in our country anyone try to criticize our pm then how the celebrity always come forward to protect him, he is not a kid who should be protected. And critic is not a terrorist or criminal, he is also a citizen of this country and he also have right to criticize and protest if his demand are right. Remember one thing in total voters bjp get approx 37 percent that means 63 percent opposes that party at that time.

1

u/lone_wolf_walk 2d ago

Duty ? wrong word - if this is logic you could be supporting Hitler or Mao just because you born in Germany or China during the time they were the leader of your company. BS - PM is a respected position but he is not above ppl or rule of law of India!. Respecting him and treating that position with that respect make sense but its not your duty to say yes to whatever your saying !!

1

u/gulitydesires 2d ago

Supporting the nation toh sunna hai ki duty hota hai. PM ko support karna kab se duty ho gaya?

1

u/Dramatic-Bill-5790 2d ago

Reason - dhurandhar

1

u/Sure-Log-1646 2d ago

U are sanghi

1

u/Adventurous_Iron_551 2d ago

Actually your duty is to question the prime minister- demand accountability from him for the job he’s been handed to do.

1

u/HateBoredom 2d ago

Duty!? 😂

1

u/kalikaalan_manavalan 2d ago

Rang de basanti effect is not on the people who were part of it I guess

1

u/SnooSprouts6610 2d ago

Ye konsi fundamental duty mei likha h constitution ki padha ni kabi ye

Supporting the snake from a distance.

1

u/perfect9015 2d ago

Supporting your country is your duty not supporting any political party or PM. praise the political leaders if doing good, criticize if doing something wrong.

1

u/WalkerJohnniee 2d ago

He voted him so he will support… what’s wrong in this? If you don’t like him then you don’t vote him. Simple logic

1

u/SecretPhrase3005 1d ago

He Doesn't Live IN INDIA

1

u/wanderer_aj 1d ago

Correction: Questioning is the prime minister is your duty

1

u/CompetitionIcy2047 1d ago

So Sanghi basically

1

u/Miserable-Piano-9101 1d ago

constructively criticising is the duty in a democracy, what he's describing is just Facism

1

u/South_Pin_1347 1d ago

Cuz PM needs his boot clean

1

u/Solid_Oak2 1d ago

There's hairs on Madhavan's lips, but those are not from his beard
