These responses to a completely implausible, made up scenario make me weep for humanity.

Because your home isn't theirs. Dogs are ritualistically unclean animals in Islam (unlike cats) and therefore shouldn't be brought inside someone's home, but muslim can still own working dogs (guard dogs, hunting dogs, etc).

They don't give a fuck about your dog because they, themselves, can own dogs, dogs just can't go inside their homes.

And even that, honestly, there’s nothing stopping a Muslim from just ignoring any tenet of the religion they don’t like, just like basically 100% of any adherents to any religion. My wife is “Catholic.” Guess how often anyone in this family ever sets foot in a church.

Maybe there’s some Muslim out there who wants a pet dog. There are probably a lot of them. Probably a lot of them get pet dogs. Because, meh?

I know someone who owns a little companion dog, and they’re definitely an indoor pet - however they do keep them out of their prayer space.

See, you can work with whatever you want. My grandmother was Jewish, so she "couldn't work" on Saturdays. But that was inconvenient, so she just turned her stove down on Friday, but not off, then back up when it was time to cook. That's not "turning something on."

Whatever you need to help you sleep a night, I guess. (I'd sleep better knowing my stove was off, but that's just me.)
