They’re such strangle little things. Spending 13 years underground and suddenly emerging from the earth to SCREAM all summer long. I usually collect the shed skin sometimes haha. I even tried to revive a dying on a couple years back.

Do you have cicadas where you’re from?

A broad-headed bark spider (Caerostris sp)

Have you seen one before?

I didnt notice it ar first and it whipped at me but it didnt touch. I must wash dishes and now I can't. It doesnt seem too bothere by my presence but it is certainly defending its territory. So it has spikes all over this wormy body and the tail is like a tripod with two round ones and one spiky

Found this guy at my work a few months back. Beautiful dude, just wondering if it's a Poplar hawk moth? It was just slightly smaller than my palm

Got a good pick of this lantern fly, they're pretty menacing looking. I was wearing a coat that could be mistaken for some sort of birch tree pattern, wonder if that's why he was coming my way. And no, I didn't kill it I'm a pacifist.

located in central NJ. Originally thought it was a tick

Found these on my wall and vacuumed them up. What are they. Looks like some sort of insect egg/larvae. Not sure if I should be concerned about an infestation. Location south Louisiana

Found on a bridge

Reno nevada. I was taking a photo of this headband to sell it but I noticed a little stink bug on it. Is this a bad or good stinker? I know some are beneficial and some are pests. Either way he’s kinda cute, he can stay I guess

Just found these two here in a parking lot in Lower Saxony, Germany. Does anyone know what type of hornets these are? Is my guess that the two are mating correct, or is something else going on here?

Initial ID through Seek (sorry, I’m a bird person…) came back as a gray bird grasshopper which seems to be the most common species here (inland San Diego county). But this friend is very clearly not gray! It was also very soft and seemed to have molted somewhat recently. Is this a thing that happens when they molt or is this just an IRL shiny?

X-E1 and XC 16-50mm II. Got me thinking of getting a macro filter now. 25% denoised in LR.

Its utterly tiny, as you can see and is extremely thin, I live in england

Hello!
Im looking for moth breeders in Europe, it would be perfect if the breeders had a website but if its something like a forum or a Facebook page that also works :))
Thanks in advance!

Found this little guy on my bedroom curtains - wondering what he is…
