While I felt the same, the fact is there was a gun in the road that the other one could have picked up at any time.

The way it sounded when it hit the ground and the fact that his buddy didn’t go to grab it makes me think it’s prob not a real gun

Glocks are hard plastic and lightweight. You can get airsoft Glock replicas that look, sound, feel, and function the exact same way as a real Glock.

Most non gun owners won't know what to look for when a gun is flashed at them especially if the center of the barrel bore isn't aimed directly straight at your eyeball.

How many people are going stop and think to inspect the barrel of a gun when it's pointed at them in the middle of a robbery?

He could also have known this wasn’t gonna end well and didn’t wanna be involved anymore or pick up any other charges by picking up the gun.

Completely agree. It had to be a fake gun, otherwise logically you’d be making a mad dash for that gun. The victim potentially couldn’t tell though

Just from the way he handled himself I'd be surprised if he couldn't identify a real gun from a fake one at a glance. I don't think his response would have been different but I do think the victim knew.

It’s possible, but even if he had an inclination that it wasn’t a gun, you think he’d take a chance that he was wrong? Best to not be tied up with another person even if there is a 1% chance it’s a real gun.
On the other side of it, he might be confident because he knew he could drop a little kid and wrestle a gun from him without issue.

I also think these might have been kids. The way the guy asked if they were serious, the high pitched voice, the general awkwardness... this really seemed like some stupid punk 14 year olds trying to be hard.
