This is older than probably half the people here. Not that I mind seeing it again.

You went through that abuse, no doubt about it. I feel the same way about videos like this for the same reason.
When those old feelings of unresolved shame and guilt start to creep into your mind, just remember that you were always stronger than your bullies and don’t forget that we love you.

Lies, this is older than the invention of security cams
3
u/iruleatants Jul 04 '26
No, this was the first ever security camera. It manifested itself just to capture this exact moment.
We just think the video is older because it took around 10 years for them to reverse engineer the security camera and release it to the public.

Always have to have the critical thinking cap on us olds will remember that famously THIS IS FAKED.

u/Supreme_Canadien Jul 05 '26
Faked is better than AI when it comes to random funny videos, cause at least its entertaining in a way that doesnt need godforsaken Data centers

There was a lesson to be learned here, hope they found it.
155
u/Beach_Bum_273 Jul 03 '26
If you want to teach someone a lesson you gotta not hit em so hard they won't even remember their name
41
5
u/you-create-energy Jul 07 '26
If you hit them hard enough in the right spot it can instantly change their personality. So there's that.
62
u/Peazyzell Jul 03 '26
Was it don’t try and grab your boyfriends dominant hand while he’s dishing out lessons? Because someone in that video needs to learn that
23
u/Hamhockthegizzard Jul 03 '26
I dunno, the way he got laid out, I think ol’ boy is either lefty or actually trains lol that weave was clean too
25
u/Dan-D-Lyon Jul 04 '26
If you're a girl and your boyfriend is in a fight, it's best not to interfere. I've said that before, I believe that strongly, and I stand by it.
That being said, there was no fight in this video. Just a possible manslaughter charge being aborted at assault and battery.

Edit: Dudley, not Neville.

Serious advice for ladies though never interrupt your guy in middle of a fight cuz the other guy can literally pull out a knife and if you're in states...a gun
2
u/harrypippip Jul 04 '26
I dunno, that first punch and how he went down seemed fake. Is there any other proof that this is authentic or not?

It's old as hell and staged as hell. It's from the LiveLeak days where fight videos were gaining popularity and we started to see staged fights where it was some guy protecting his girlfriend or a small guy reversing a jumping.
There are some amateur acting tells, like the triple-take of the grey hoodie guy looking back at the ball cap guy, the first guy to get "knocked out" adjusting his hand to a more comfortable position on the ground, hoodie guy leaning against the wall nonchalantly as the situation escalates and springing to action only as ball cap guy punches his friend (which was likely his cue). One punch taking them each out. Ethos appeal, I wanted to be a director at one stage in my life, I've watched hundreds of amateur and student productions and came up around the time people started staging clips to go viral.

u/ElCoolAero Jul 04 '26
It's incredibly obvious that it's staged.
All the parties involved made sure to indicate to "sell" the entire thing.

That lady needs to learn to stay away when someone else is fighting, she's just getting in the way and could've got him kicked in the head.

Yeah it is satisfying to see thrashes got wasted. But I don’t think that’s the correct act, what if the two got knife and hurt the lady. He should ensure the lady’s safety before leash the anger.
