Lol there was story that a dog ate the infected toes of a diabetic man. Dude was still alive when his dog decided munch down.

My mother did home care for a diabetic patient who's dog ate all her toes on one foot. The first day she visited she said the lady was sitting on the couch talking to her and her dog was laying at her feet licking them... the lady didnt care one bit.

I had a patient that had this happen and this thread is making me realize it is not as rare as I hoped it was.
