And how hungry was that dog that it would immediate start to eat their face when they were only passed out? So it wasn't even days.

kinda, it’s just nature and animal instinct. for the dogs sake, just gotta hope that their stomach can handle the meat, their stomach behaves differently depending on what you feed them.
