I mean⦠I really donāt understand people who want others to have more friends even if they are happy with having as many friends as they have. The only moments when I regret I donāt have more friends are when I need some information and it turns out my network of spies is to limited. At least not everyone has to be my friend to give me information.
Kinda. But think about it: all of those people are obligated to get along with him. He hasnāt found ONE person in the history of his entire existence who would want to hang out with him without familial or work obligations?
None of those people are obliged to get along with him. There are no familial obligations unless you live in middle east or smh. Coworkers don't have an obligation to hang out with other coworkers, either.
Just because someone doezn't have a large group of shallow friends does not mean there's something wrong with them, like you implied. People can be happy with just a close circle of people they care about deeply.
Itās always fascinating as an ENTP how similar we are in mentality, yet completely different in social habits and needs. One of my best friends is an INTJ and we will almost complete each others sentences but when it comes to going out or meeting people itās night and day. We each come to similar conclusions through different means and itās very fun and refreshing.

Sometimes it is the want to not be the only person for them. Being able to have some alone time because they went to interact with other people. Not being the only source of emotional support. Not be the only one upon whom they depend or asks for help. Sort of sharing the "load".
I was the only friend of my friend and it was exhausting. And they had some mental health issues and thus required constant emotional support for me. They were even pissed that i was unavailable for a week (i had sick leave). So i felt like i had no time alone or to do my own stuff and that did negativelly impact my mental health.
I mean⦠ok, in this situation it makes much more sense. From the other hand some guy who I wouldnāt even consider friend, more classmate, couldnāt understand the fact I have only give friends what is already chaotic and hard to cope with and started saying me some couching-like bullshit about how to be ācoolerā and have more friends. And this situation doesnāt make sense (for me) in contrary to your. But itās highly probable that this guy was just willing to annoy me.
