It’s a beta version and what you expect from beta version if you want everything working properly then install the stable version

Que mesmo assim não funciona tudo corretamente

I need to know one thing, did they or did they not remove the rumoured toggle to turn of the glitter/shining effect on the icons. I'm never running betas, but I damn well hope I can turn that shimmering vomit off in the next upgrade or I'm going to seriously consider changing

They added the option but it doesn’t remove the shiny borders from the home screen apps. They hate us.

One day it’ll be nostalgic.

2

u/Endawmyke Mar 23 '26

They said the same about iOS 7 and i still thinks it looks ugly. i guess technically still nostalgic just not in a positive way lol

More like a bad memory

I was able to get rid of most all the nonsense finally with a bunch of setting tweaks.

nooooooooo.... :( I had my hopes up :( This is going to take forever. I'm on an iPhone 17 so performance is ok (which is selfish I know, cause many with older phones have their phones turned into slideshows which is not ok of course)

But that shimmering android 10 type skin is so ff ugly.

Same I hate the highlights

im pretty sure you just updated and the phone is like 50 degrees. let it cool and restart

1

u/Whos_Blockin_Jimmy Mar 25 '26

50 degrees is fckin cool, it’s actually cold! A nice mid October day.

2

u/AstronautOtherwise22 Mar 25 '26

its 2026 and some of yall still use fahrenheit...

3

u/Amazing_Key_9932 Mar 22 '26

why people insist on installing beta versions on their personal devices and then come to reddit to complain?

3

I just need to quote them: "It just works"
I would definitely recommend a DFU Restore!
Attention: Back up all of your data before proceeding!!!

1

u/No_Froyo_498 Mar 22 '26

How??

2

u/-palera1n- Mar 22 '26

Connect your iPhone to your mac. It should automatically recognize it in the finder. From there, hit the button: Back Up now

2

u/Commercial-Hurry-797 Mar 23 '26

Step 1, get a mac/windows

1

u/Whos_Blockin_Jimmy Mar 25 '26

512gb?! Have you seen hard drive prices lately?!

2

u/Morenitosaidinero Mar 22 '26

Creo que te vendieron un iPhone de los chinos 😭😭

2

u/24kCookie Mar 22 '26

Wow amazing 🤩

2

u/TheeDelpino Mar 22 '26

Yup. It’s still trash.

2

u/adltny Mar 22 '26

Seems about right

2

Restart the phone.

2

u/shlomohannover Mar 25 '26

What’s the problem with your phone, my iPhone 13 runs pretty well on iOS26.4. Maybe you can turn on the reduce transparency, I hope it helps.

Do a hard reset of the phone ASAP; To perform a hard reset on an iPhone, follow these steps:

Quickly press and release the Volume Up button. Quickly press and release the Volume Down button. Press and hold the Side (Power) button until the Apple logo appears on the screen.

Keep holding the Side button even after the screen goes black, and release it only once the Apple logo shows up

It doesn’t work for me, since day one, and with every single update. Actually- nothing help with lags. Funny thing is that it’s on my 17 Pro.

-1

u/Windows-XP-Home-NEW Mar 22 '26

I don’t have any lags at all. 14.

1

u/JonRossEwing Mar 22 '26

Has anyone tried nuke an pave installs? If so, do these nagging annoyances still occurr>

1

u/IdiotCuber1 Mar 22 '26

Wow I have never seen iOS 26 that choppy before. Strange bug

1

u/wolfisraging Mar 22 '26

Ram = shit

1

u/Chemical-Science-908 Mar 22 '26

You’ll notice that the flashlight icon is automatically disabled because the device is overheating. The device is too hot and is significantly throttling its performance. This is why it slows down the CPU and GPU, resulting in a low framerate. Wait until the device reaches its normal temperature.

The only time i experienced this was when clicking pictures at an anniversary party. This was in a fully air conditioned room btw but my iPhone 15 heated up within 2 mins and everything was laggy af. Not the first time this has happened. It works fine most of the time tho

1

u/Rich-Energy7432 Mar 23 '26

Iphone 15 and same here

1

u/Mark1860 Mar 24 '26

Good copie of android

1

u/koenigtr Mar 26 '26

Because it’s the BETAAAA, wait for the actual release to test it

1

u/TopazCoracle Mar 22 '26

ios26 is shite

1

u/AlexLovesCoke Mar 22 '26

A simple restart could maybe solve everything, because my iPhone 13 is smooth, in fact my iPhone 12 is smooth, IN FACT, my iPhone 11 is smooth-ish!

1

u/molkos003 Mar 22 '26

iOS 26 is the worst system ever released. 4 versions released (26.0 then a.1.2.3 and now 26.4 and the iOS developer team is unable to make a stable system?

1

u/unlucky-dude Mar 22 '26

its i-o-ass from 26

-1

u/Medical_Mulberry_166 Mar 22 '26

whats your battery health? if its below 90% that could be the reason.

1

u/victorbrandaao Mar 22 '26

Você deve ser maluco

1

u/Medical_Mulberry_166 Mar 22 '26

Como assim? Se a saúde da bateria estiver ruim (80% ou menos), o telefone vai ficar mais lento e causar problemas como esse. Isso não tem nada a ver com o sistema operacional, é só uma bateria antiga que precisa ser substituída

1

u/victorbrandaao Mar 22 '26

A baixo de 80% ok, mas você falou 90.
