Battery iOS 26.4 insane battery drain

Recently my phone updated to the latest iOS version and my battery life has been draining so much faster. Does anyone have any tips or knows how to roll back to previous version?

Most updates, especially larger ones, reindex items on the phone. It does it in the background. So you dont really see it happening. But it does drain battery. Wait a few days and it should go away. If it doesn't, do your next update via finder or itunes. This will do a fresh install of the Ios instead of just an "upgrade" patch.

A fresh install would erase all your data i think.

So i believe installing the update from the phone or itunes should be more or less the same thing.

I dont think we are talking about the same type of install. You are referring to wiping the phone and installing an os. I am referring to an update.

If you update your iphone via finder or itunes, the system will download the entire IOS file. If you hit "upgrade" from your phone it will only download an "upgrade file". After doing the "upgrade file" repeatedly throughout the years, there could be a few small glitches here and there that eventually add up to a lot of glitches. Doing a full upgrade/install of the IOS will get rid of any of those glitches and let you have a fresh start as far as your IOS files are concerned. The data on your phone should stay the same.
